Maybe he will be thinking about how affordable a small yacht will be once they jack LL prices. Phew. Now I feel better.

Hey! Maybe Bob can give him some purchase advice!! Maybe even offer to sell him one of his smaller yachts (with a small markup, of course. No coupon days with Bob anymore.)

especially for a single star location ...

Only ate their once and absolutely loved it and hope to be back again, but for what it is, compared to many other similar level options, it isn't inexpensive

Just out of curiosity, how long ago was that? I remember 5-6 years ago we almost went, and it was like $175 or something like that, and another $75 for the wine pairing. Now it's over $100 more, and with the wine pairing it's close to $450 per person.

It was a while ago - was for our 10th anniversary and we are coming up on #22 next month

It was similar in cost to what you had 5-6 years ago so like a lot of things has really jumped in the past few years

We did main dining room but did get a bottle of champagne to start and I think I got one of the upgrades. With tax and tip I remember it being over $600 total. (Obviously would be a lot more now days)

Was totally worth it (had the added bonus of the harpists playing our wedding song - just by chance, not a request), but also can find single Michelin Star dining for quite a bit less

Heck, we did French Laundry last year which is a three star for around that price you stated

…so from your description it actually sounds like it wasn’t really worth it

Oh this thread is too fun.

If it weren't for the fact Josh actually said the things he said (with a straight face), you would think for sure that it was complete parody.
And yet millions of the gullible still line up and drink the kool aid of execs who have much more responsibility than Josh in the real world. At times we are the richest , broke and gullible country on earth.

So It's the afternoon of June 2, 2025, Josh just rolled in from a whole weekend of doing rich guy things and now has to make some obligatory thoughts about the poors and them not being able to blah blah blah afford things.

Today's thought was about why the adults only Space Ship Earth Lounge doesn't have stripper poles, you know like every normal adults only lounge has. Just think of all the dollar bills guests are saving as a result.

Next update tomorrow!!

Disney probably thinking about safety. Even the decadent Pleasure Island back in the day did not even have stripper poles but that would have been fun at the infamous Mannequins nightclub with the revolving dance floor and entertainment on the stage!

Not quite stripper poles but Josh could turn Jellyrolls into a Rave Destination themed to Alice in Wonderland with princesses as go go girls.

Thursday night at PI back in the day basically had all of that in any of the clubs thanks to all us drunk CPs getting in for free. Good times! 😂

Josh would not approve, most of us didn’t spend a dollar. CPs are only good for working late hours and getting that overpriced rent pulled out of their paychecks leaving them with about $10 for Ramen dinners. 😉
