Magic Kingdom Starlight Parade Brings New Annual Passholder Park Reservation Rule

Trying to understand this new change: if I have a reservation for HS, am I allowed to “hop” to MK later in the day or do I need to have a reservation for MK in order to enter at anytime? We typically hop to different parks in different days of our trip and I’m just trying to plan if we will be allowed to hop into MK or if we need to basically plan for only a MK day?

That’s fine as long as MK isn’t at capacity (which almost never happens).

Hop earlier rather than later. 3 pm could be better than 7 pm.

I think it depends how certain you want to be about being in MK. To be certain, make an MK reservation. If you are OK to accept the possibility of MK not allowing hopping on that day due to capacity, then stay with DHS.

How many Capacity Days are You Guessing? Starlight is Wonderful!!!! But it's not a Holiday or anything? Maybe Non Party Nights will feel like a Holiday? Hope MK is really Planning 9 & 11!....

I can’t remember the last time hopping was blocked. Not even NYE.

Perhaps opening night although I anticipate a media night to avoid bloggers ruining this.

I think it’s more likely that park reservations will sell out.

That’s what happens when just about everyone working in ops wasn’t with the company the last time they ran a light parade.

I’m curious why they think running it from Frontierland to MS will make things better? If that really is the plan. I’m assuming there was a reason why they never did that with MSEP and Spectro.

I don't think a Direction has been confirmed?

Didn’t Disney say from Frontierland to MSUSA? Local news stations have also said that but they know very little lol. But yeah I don’t think it’s been officially confirmed. Ops might not know themselves what they want to do yet.

One rationale for this is that by starting on MS you will pull guests further into the park rather than pulling them out of the park.

I don't believe it was reported. I would have Jumped for JOY if we knew Starlight would come down MS from TBA!!!!!!!!

True. MK wouldn't want the 9PM Starlight to lead Guests to the Exits right before HEA...(just guessing here)

Nights parades traveling from Frontierland to Main Street is an operational nightmare. Even if they try it at first (because it’s been so long they have forgotten how to run a night parade) they will quickly reverse course and switch to starting on Main Street.

We might see(from Contemp)when Testing starts...

If I remember correctly, back when FOF Opened, it was said MK only programed FOF to start at Splash? Maybe Starlight will be set up either way, like Celebrate A Dream Come True?
