Speaking to 5/31, they initially released 600 single day tickets about a month ago and then soon after released 3000 more. And that day has been available ever since. These dates were not originally available when they first released single day tickets months ago.
Yes today was the first big Jump.
Again, for those that considered returning their express for the next few weeks coming, I would not.
Just hotel guests get the perk for Epic.

Per thrill data average waits across the park for each day:
5/22: 20
5/23: 25
5/24: 25
5/25: 38
5/26: 31
5/27: 52
Big step up yesterday... will be interesting to see if this pattern holds.

I'd be curious to see how much they upped capacity as that seems like a pretty large jump.
I know some of what we are seeing would be them still working things out but only the carousel and a mini game that requires you to buy a band have a wait not an hour plus? Yikes.

I have no idea how to estimate what Express pass does to lines... but if everyone was in standby there would be ~17,000 people in line right now

Fair, although Uni tends to exaggerate waits and they're still experiencing inefficient operations, so I'd wager it's lower than the 17K, but close

17k also assumes everyone is in standby... @lentesta do you know the approximate ratio of standby to express pass and USO? if it's 50% of the capacity then there are only ~8,500 people in the standby line.
EDIT... also do you know on average how much USO inflates their wait times (10%?)

UO's numbers are a trade secret, but overall in the industry, 10-30% padding is normal.
Based off of my own math as a regular park guest, Universal averages 17%, while Disney averages 20%, and Sea World averages 10%.
Keep in mind though, that these are averages AND anecdotal based off of my own experiences at these parks. Additionally, I'm am beyond sure that they're adjusted to account for lightning lane/express pass sales for a day (as are merge ratios)
