The rest of the show is good though. Even fantastic - as I noted elsewhere in this thread it's clear somebody at DLE loved this show enough to give it a proper upgrade. BATB next please?

And now I want one of those Flounder puppets to have as a movie watching buddy.
Indeed! I hate to Admit This because VOLM was so good before 2020, but This show is a more complete Story. Not flying through the Second half of the Movie in Ursula's Crystal Ball.....

Wonder what DLE had to give up to get Kiss The Girl in there? Surely that censorship "storytelling" (or whatever they called it) team we heard about would have had an issue with it...

Perhaps the costume can vary with the person wearing it? Two females can wear the exact same top and one will be more "modest" than the other.
The old top was an independent “bra”; the current one is connected to the tail. Again, not a criticism, just a change I noted. Jasmine’s costume has also moved in this direction.

I like it, but the CGI Triton looks terrible.
The mermaid sisters and Triton. Although King Triton in particular, especially when he shared the stage with Ariel is uncanny valley cringe. I think if I were directing the show, I'd have Triton as an actor or better still, off stage completely. Or arranged in such a way that his back is to us.

This isn't perfect but it's a big improvement over the old show

The old show was extremely rushed story-wise, a couple beats were out of order, and it was way too dependent on using random clips from the movie that at some points it just felt like you we're watching the dvd
BATB was the same way when it Opened at MGM, not in DL.

For a 20 minute stage show, that's just about as good a story as anyone can tell without dipping into any frame devices to tell it (like with Tale of the Lion King or the Royal Theatre shows at Disneyland). Love how colorful and vibrant the art direction is, and the CGI characters are nostalgic in a Philharmagic kind of way. Great stuff.
