If an executive paying tribute to corporate leadership and licensing partners at the start of the fireworks show sounds the same to you as Disney including tributes to Walt Disney in their shows, that's all ok.
My point was merely that I imagine Disney would be crucified on here if they did that exact same thing as Universal just did. I am sure, however, you personally would refrain from making any snide remarks about Josh D'Amaro and Disney corporate leadership were that to happen. Still, it is one of those things where I do wonder whether I am the only one who thinks "but isn't this exactly the kind of thing everyone around here hates?"
At this point I imagine people would just be happy to be getting new things on the scale and rate.
I mean, they charge for D23 and the entire thing is a thank you fan fest for partnerships and hype.
It is not like EPIC did something bad by having a one-time Spielberg voice over thank Woodbury and give credit to the creative partnerships.
