That was the diagnostic procedureThat's how dealers for GM used to take care of squeaks on the new cars on the lot. They'd wad up cardboard and wedge it where they suspected squeak was at. Engineering at its finest.

Still curious about what new trains will look like. Whether they’ll look similar to the originals in both color and setup or something new.I have to imagine there will be new trains. It’s effectively a new roller coaster.
Can we get a new queue, too? I hate this one more than most.I have to imagine there will be new trains. It’s effectively a new roller coaster.
It can be unbearable in the summer. It has a surprising number of heat-related medical events. Can we get a new queue, too? I hate this one more than most.
The building already has climate control but I’m sure they won’t enclose the upstairs, too.I suppose they could enclose a large portion of the queue and air condition it...
While in college I sold cars for about 7 months at GM dealer. This was also how salesman would 'take care' of squeaks on cars they were trying to sell. That was the diagnostic procedure
Yeah I know, 30 years a master tech I've seen lots of "fixes"While in college I sold cars for about 7 months at GM dealer. This was also how salesman would 'take care' of squeaks on cars they were trying to sell.
Does it really? For the record I think the queue is excellent. Only problem is the fact that people throw their trash past the trash cans onto the roof of buildings. It can be unbearable in the summer. It has a surprising number of heat-related medical events.
The upstairs has serious airflow issues exacerbated by the walls they put up a few years back.Does it really? For the record I think the queue is excellent. Only problem is the fact that people throw their trash past the trash cans onto the roof of buildings.
It is stifling once it starts getting hot...so like 6-7 months out of the year. The upstairs has serious airflow issues exacerbated by the walls they put up a few years back.
Also possible that guidelines for new builds in 2025 are different than 1980.
Curious if there are any track profiling changes though. And if we're going to see new trains / new restraint systems.
I was going to say this exact thing when reading your post, until I got to this line and read that you already said it. lolAlthough honestly, it makes it more fun
When my kids were young I always sat on the far right hand part of the seat. Most all the corners are to the left so most of the time they were being pushed against me instead of the other way around. For my situations, the simplest of change was almost perfect. (except when they would slam into me.)It would make sense to do different restraints. My wife and I are over a foot in height difference, which causes her to basically slide side to side on any turn since the restraint hits me first.
Although honestly, it makes it more fun
I’ve personally never found this to be more of a problem here than in the rest of the park but I see your point. The upstairs has serious airflow issues exacerbated by the walls they put up a few years back.
People pass out pretty frequently and they are hard to get to given how the queue is set up.I’ve personally never found this to be more of a problem here than in the rest of the park but I see your point.
They could just stuff in some folded up cardboard to level the new track to where the old track was.
I'm going to fly down to MK tonight. Will it be open?

As someone who has visited exclusively in June or July, I can confirm this is the case. We typically ride in the evenings when it is (slightly) cooler and less crowded- and even then it is like a hotbox in the queue! The upstairs has serious airflow issues exacerbated by the walls they put up a few years back.
I struggled last summer. And I don’t really struggle in the heat. All of the noise up there from the “toys” they added doesn’t help. Hot+stuffy+sensory overload is rough. As someone who has visited exclusively in June or July, I can confirm this is the case. Yes- we somehow always manage to be behind/in front of/near *those* kids- you know the ones who have to push every button and spin every wheel and run from one to the other (if there's space) while simultaneously holding up the line as they do so! Here's hoping for some relief with a queue refresh of some sort!I struggled last summer. And I don’t really struggle in the heat. All of the noise up there from the “toys” they added doesn’t help.
