What "Special Ticketed Event" is coming to DCA on Sunday, May 18 from 9:00pm - 2:00am? The DLR site doesn't say.

Edit: It's Grad Nite. My plans are for DLP 5/16-17 and DCA 5/18. I think there is no point in switching with DLP on 5/18. There is a ticket option for both parks for the Grad Niters. I do have an open rest day built in on 5/19. So I think my options are sticking with DCA on 5/18 or moving my open rest day to 5/18 and doing DCA on 5/19.

That's exactly what I did. So glad I built in an extra day before flying out. DLP 5/16-17. Rest 5/18. DCA 5/19.

Don’t love it. Something is clashing. That navy blue, Magenta and gold bunting doesn’t work with the rest of the colors. It physically bothers me looking at it.

For me it's the pink on the actual emblem that makes me nauseous. It doesn't match at all to the more faded pink of the castle.

For me the clash is between these three features - the medallion, bunting and gold trimmed castle entrance but the only one of the three that doesn’t work with either of the other 2 is the bunting IMO.

Pepto Bismol is all I think of when I see the color palette chosen for this promotion.

Just not digging it, like the character attire for the anniversary this time around.

Something is just off about the whole visual appeal of it to my eyes.

Hmm... Pepto Pink is a shade or two more subtle than that 70th Pink.

It took me a minute, but then the old vacuum tubes warmed up, and I remembered where I'd seen that shade of pink before.... It's the same exact shade of pink that PSA stewardesses wore in the early to mid 1970's! PSA, the only major (ish) airline to be based out of San Diego, had some of the best looking stewardesses on the planet in the 1960's and 70's, and their uniforms always had skirts that were about 2 inches shorter than whatever was the fashion that year. In the 70's their jet's livery and their stew's uniforms took on a vibrant pink color.

I'd bet that the designers of the 70th Anniversary are either former PSA stewardesses themselves, or their mom's were.

PSA Gives You A Lift! Which might be more than we can say for Disneyland's 70th so far....

For the 100th only the blue monorail got a new wrap. I'm assuming only one monorail gets the 70th wrap too (if there even is one).

I was mistaken. Monorail Red got the 70th wrap. Orange still has Mickey.
