Reworking a project that isn't going well may or may not work out in the end.The jury is still out on Elio. It's usually a bad sign of more than one director but I guess that is how corporate Pixar works. It was suppose to be released last year but had to be completely retooled.
This is true. At least they realized there were problems and wanted to polish and fix it. Those first trailers were really bad. The latest is pretty good. They are definitely going for the K-4th grade group here.Reworking a project that isn't going well may or may not work out in the end.
However, it should be comforting to know that they know it's not working and are willing to spend the time and money to make it work.
Unlike other studios who just say "good enough, we don't need to change course, send it out." (Looking at you, Sony/Marvel.)
There have been films two or more directors that turned out good though like Coco, A Bug’s Life, Toy Story 2, Mosnsters Inc, Inside Out, Ratatouille, Soul, and Up (with people credited as co-directors) and they all turned out fine. The jury is still out on Elio. I’m sorry?Or Pyrite.
It's fool's gold.I’m sorry?
Still don’t get it.It's fool's gold.
Still don’t get it.
The original post was removed so don’t know the context. You’re obviously joking as about 99% of your posts are, but don’t blame the poster for not getting it when there is no further context other than a single word.
Here's hoping they give it one more marketing blitz prior to release. It's been too quiet. And one more piece of good news about Pixar’s Elio. It just got a confirmed/approved release in China.
I’m really rooting for them to help Elio be a hit in 53 days. Let’s hope they can give this new original film some love to make it a sleeper hit.
I believe they will. Here's hoping they give it one more marketing blitz prior to release. It's been too quiet.
Saw a new trailer today for Elio at the theaters. Wow! Looks much better. Played up the friendship between Elio and an alien kid.
I mean Elio still has time to boost awareness and it is going to take HTTYD’s RealD3D and Dolby Cinema screens in its second weekend. So HTTYD is June 13th while Elio is June 20th? So what happens when HTTYD sucks the air out of the second week? The advertising for HTTYD has been huge along with the new Epic Universe land.
Doesn't mean that is still not featured prominently in the film, just not in the trailer. Trailers have certainly been known to be misleading.Just saw the new trailer for the first time tonight in front of SW and it does look good, but boy, they really changed this a lot, didn't they? It seems like being mistaken as the leader of Earth and all that is completely gone now? I'm trying to think if Disney/Pixar have ever gotten to the point of putting out a trailer that was so dramatically different from what actually ended up being produced before.
It will be a box office hit if word of mouth and critics reviews are in its favor.I hope it's a box office hit. Because we need more original movies than sequels. I mean, sequels are fine, but Disney and Pixar needs to continue making original animated movies.
