Very good point! Though Space Mountain kinda throws the idea out lol. The view wasn’t intended to fit the ride 100%, it’s just a happy accident that it works so well. Didn’t even think of the river boat being visible from the top.
For the Fact that this iconic view with the Riverboat Backdrop Folklore and Splash Mountain was never built or anything to do with Tiana, inspiration, Louisiana, Princess and The Frog is a Gift in itself and now that it fits more than ever they want to remove elements for another IP environment! That is mind boggling to me.

Exciting because current management isn’t capable of seeing this is the dumbest thing they could do? Exciting because it rips the heart out of the park? Exciting because it furthers their destruction of the American history aspect of the park?
Not all of us are so pessimistic and some of us really want to see what is planned here. I’m sorry but I’m definitely not calling ROA, the “heart of the park”. And I don’t consider it an important part of learning about American history or anything. It’s a river. It represents some things but that’s not the main focus

I went on the Liberty Belle yesterday for the first time.

I loved the experience but I see why it is being eliminated. A lot of the material is a more out of date view of American history that the Disney company is trying to eliminate at the parks.

In addition Adventureland, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland are packed with crowds during most hours of the day and Frontierland (aside from Tiana's and BTMRR) is really not helping with crowd distribution. The thought is that having 2 new attractions (including a major Cars attraction) crowds will be more evenly distributed around the park.

Disneyland doesn't have the same issue with their ROA as their Galaxy's Edge is on the other side of their ROA so the crowds there generally are already more evenly distributed.

That being said the vibe, especially at night, is amazing with the current River / Riverboat combo.

It really kills the vibe of it being a magic kingdom, place with a river and boat going who knows where, place you can hang out at. Removes the scenery and staging. Adding cars makes it seem more amusement park.
