When: Feb 2-4
Where: All-Star Music, and All-Star Music (you’ll see.)

OK but those were reject “blooper” pics from our last TR. Here’s one where we’re overdressed:

That’ll do.

And…Mickey.

Of course you did! :joyfull:

(It's evident to me, that Kylie's spirit will always be with you two, whenever you go on vacations. Love how you always bring her Mickey toy, too. 🥰 )

To wit, Facebook shows me a “then & now” pic most days. It can be any memory from any year.

Every day we’ve been here, it’s been a Kylie pic from years back.

Here’s today’s:

Was she or was she not a fan of Crowded House? I still can’t tell. 😆😉

But yes, before I read your post, I showed that to Brian and said, “She’s with us on this trip.” 😀🥹

Oh, my. What have I done?

More precisely: Oh, myo, Monday is Cinco de Mayo! Hope it's not slammed. Might skip Epcot until Tuesday lol.

Transportation is not cooperating, but I went ahead and booked the room anyway. There are no deals to take the Brightline round-trip for $120 or $130 total like we had been doing. It would be more like $320-$400 (yipe!) depending on our chosen times. I suppose if I had booked in advance or waited for a promo code, I’d have gotten a better deal.

Flying Spirit would actually be significantly cheaper at $43-$59 per person each way, and I have points which would take that down to zero except for bag fees. Flying is only available around 9am and 9pm, so B would have to get up relatively early to get to the airport on Wednesday morning (while I frolic for the rest of the day and fly home at 9pm!) and then he'd have a nap before going in to work.

Back on the table: me driving (his car.)

The upside: leave whenever we're ready on Sunday night. Save around $160 Ubering Tu and from both airports, plus Ubers to resort dinners and what not (vs. about $60-$70 in gas round trip.)

The downside (for me) of driving: gotta leave together by 10AM on Wednesday to get Brian to work on time.

It's OK. I don't have to frolic every single time.

We'll settle the transportation today. We have absolutely nothing planned or booked. We'll have a great time, as always!

After some deliberation, Brian preferred to fly, better for both of our backs to only be seated for one hour rather than three. Good thinking.

The flight out is booked for 8:48PM on Sunday night, 5/4. Had to pay $30 each to bring a carry-on, but won't have to go to the baggage carousel upon arrival. For $10 more (each) I was able to get the 5th row, with the middle seat blocked (no stranger germs or noises!) plus a non-alcoholic drink and a snack each. On a one hour flight. Done! Livin' large. :hilarious:

For coming home, I figured out this whole thing where if we leave at separate times, I can't get his flight on points, anyway; and the train home at a more reasonable hour wouldn't cost much more than that, plus he could bring our bags...nope. He wanted to fly home, too, even if he has to wake up around 6AM to get to the airport by about 6:30AM.

That leaves me on my own (frolicking!) with options to either take the train or the plane home (each around 9PM) or...stay with me...the next train home after the 9PM is at 4 in the morning. I could stay for all the nighttime stuff, have another meal, go to the airport at 1 or 2 in the morning and take that 4AM train home. Am I that crazy? Is it worth it? I wish @Tuvalu and Em were still there.

The latest park open is MK until 10PM, with extended hours until midnight for deluxe (not All-Stars lol.) Hmm...how much extra would I pay for a room to be able to stay until midnight on Wednesday? We have points!

Stay tuned...

Alright, that was quick. I could upgrade day 2 (Tuesday, checking out on Wednesday) to AK Villas for $343 (which = +$200.) That would give us a better room on Tuesday, and I could stay at MK until midnight, making the 4AM train ride very attractive.

I kind of love the idea, but $200 for 2 hours, when I could enjoy myself just as much at a resort...I think if Brian were still with me, it would be fun. Not alone. Status quo...but I still like the 4AM idea...processing...
