I doubt they'll use the boat tech for the villains land as it's already being used for Pandora (DCA one). Personally I think if anything they should use it as a Namor/wakanda ride if they ever built a Wakandaland. But anyway it's pretty much confirmed at this point we are getting a coaster (prob Maleficant) and a dark ride (prob trackless which is a first for MK)
I think a trackless ride like Rise would be a better fit for Villains than the Infinity Defense ride system.

New rides doesn't have to be always technologically advanced. Why can't they go back to doing classic dark ride on tracks. Maybe a well themed, full of animatronics and way larger show building of these types of rides. Maybe larger cars for more capacity.

Bring this scariness back for Villains Land.

I agree. Not EVERY animatronic needs to be a fancy A1000, we don't need screens or trackless ride vehicles, just do something simple.

Boat ride would be good for Hades though.
I have enjoyed the trackless rides that WDW has put out so far so I don’t hate the idea of it being a trackless ride but I feel like the largest expansion in MK history having a new tech boat ride seems right.

That is kind of true...it is not the ride system that is the most important thing, but creating a well-staged and engaging attraction... We have seen great omnimover rides and then meh ones like Little Mermaid.... Not sure why we don't seem to be able to stage rides cinematically anymore the way Disney always did...

I have a feeling we are going to be seeing the tech from the Fantasy Springs Peter Pan ride...Some practical effects, lots of screens...
Correct but it's the Avengers ride. I don't think we're going to battle these Disney Villains so a heavy screen based ride is unlikely to portray action.

The Shanghai boat ride is pretty boring...I am sure they could do more with it...but if it is a boat ride for villains it will have to have some sort of drop...or it will be another Pandora ride...that is pretty, but feels lacking. It would be awesome to have the tech used in Monsters Unchained, but I don't think that is possible ...It was mentioned on the forums a while back that Kuka would only license to Universal or something like that...not sure that is still true.....
The kuka arm is amazing tech for a ride system on paper, but its not a great ride system for me. Harry Potter, and even Monsters are nausea inducing experiences for myself and others.

While it doesn't make me sick, FJ jerks you around so much that I don't find it very enjoyable. It is the only ride in Orlando that we completely skip.

I don't think the kuka arm itself would cause motion sickness for most people. The real motion sickness problem in Forbidden Journey is the simulator sections. I'm not sure that will be a problem for Monsters since it apparently doesn't ever function as a motion simulator. That's not to say that the kuka arm itself can't cause motion sickness (I'm sure it does for some people), just that it's not as large an issue as motion simulation.

My experience with FJ is similar to yours, though, where the ride is so jerky that it's an incredibly unpleasant experience. I've been on it three times and it only gave me motion sickness once, but the ride experience was awful all three times.

It's not a good enough attraction to be worth the rough ride experience for me (I know I'm an outlier here but I think FJ is a handful of fantastic moments surrounded by longer sections that are mediocre at best, and is thus not a great attraction). I have no desire to ever ride it again.

Agreed - Forbidden Journey is very well designed but it makes me very disoriented- not fun.

Sadly…. Tower of Terror can be pretty close depending on the sequence I get :-/

I was just asking.
Uh huh. Sure you were.
It was a valid question, and you were using TBA as an example....that is not a problem... And I am also concerned they just don't have the team to create something like they did in the past...
Nothing valid about it. Your perspective does not reflect the parks guest general opinion. Your argument is that most people think ita a bad ride. They don’t. You are the outlier and squeeky wheel.

The general park attendees love the ride. Get over it. Maybe Disney isn’t for you. Stop ruining it for everyone else.

I love Tiana’s. Maybe it’s your bias getting in the way.
