I would be open to all kinds of ride systems EXCEPT trackless.
Mission Space is also out, lol!

My dream rides for this park would be a Maleficient Thrill Coaster and an Underworld Boat Ride with some new impressive effects. Imagine a storyline where Hades decides to bring all of the villians back, as a sort of way of connecting them all together and explaining why they are here now. You can go through a show scene with each villian doing villiany stuff in the Underworld (shaped to fit their personality)
Honestly, one show stopping effect that I think would be cool but probably not feasible would be for the boat to head towards a waterfall but be "picked up" by an arm similar to DK at Universal. So you go over the falls but feel like you are being floated by another villian who decides to spare you (of course to show off or smth)
Story book land canal boats at DL and DLP.I’ll be interested to see if they do a “Villain mashup”, or do one villain per ride. They’ve never done a ride featuring multiple movies, that I can think of, but I like the concept.

How could I forget GMR?Story book land canal boats at DL and DLP.
Voyage of the Crystal Grotto at SDL
The Great Movie Ride
Villain land is only planned to have two attractions so I think it’s very likely that one of them will include multiple villains.
They did say that everything announced at last year's D23 expo would be build within 5 years, which is to later in 2029
they did sort of announce Villains Land at the end, almost like an extra thing so I do think relatively easy to walk that back a bit if it pushes into 2030, but they definitely indicated this timeframe
They did not say that everything would open in the next 5 years. After recapping everything they showed during the panel including "The New Lands, Attractions, Shows, Ships, and A Whole New Digital Universe" they said "I can't wait for you to see these projects start to come to life over the next five years."
Note that 'start to come to life' is a very deliberately vague statement but that it also includes the cruise ships that during the panel they explicitly said wouldn't be sailing until 2031.
Many of the things they talked about during the panel will open during the next five years I'm sure, but if you think that everything they mentioned will be open by Jan 1st 2030 I'm afraid you are setting yourself up for disappointment.
If we are sharing wish list ride ideas I would love Shanghai boat tech with Ursula as a feature villain. But def hope it is a mashup: Hook, Hades, Yzma, etc
Do any insiders know if they are planning on bringing this new DHS show over if it does well? I think a show or a dinner venue/show would be another easy way to get a lot of villains into this land.
Still weird they are debuting the villains show now- why not wait?
The Shanghai boat ride is pretty boring...I am sure they could do more with it...but if it is a boat ride for villains it will have to have some sort of drop...or it will be another Pandora ride...that is pretty, but feels lacking. It would be awesome to have the tech used in Monsters Unchained, but I don't think that is possible ...It was mentioned on the forums a while back that Kuka would only license to Universal or something like that...not sure that is still true.....If we are sharing wish list ride ideas I would love Shanghai boat tech with Ursula as a feature villain. I think Shanghai Pirates is overrated and they could do much better with the tech, but this might be the first time I've heard someone call it boring.
Awhile back I was told about something along these lines being pitched it would start off as a sort of Little Mermaid scene where you get attacked by Ursula and then end up in the underworld with Hades move between scenes with different villains and then have to escape while they all fight each other. If we are sharing wish list ride ideas I would love Shanghai boat tech with Ursula as a feature villain. That’s fair, I should have limited it to Orlando. Not sure if there’s a reason they’ve never had a mashup (animated) character ride there but hoping they make an exception for Villains.Le Pays des Contes de Fees at DLP would like a word. I think it’s at DL too.
He may be referring to Voyage to the Crystal Grotto, which does not have any drops (unlike Pirates)

You can still have a vertical lift with track.I would be open to all kinds of ride systems EXCEPT trackless. Rise is the only one that I would accept cause you go up and down.
I actually would love for the Villains dark ride to be like those ghost trains in fairs/carnivals but on steroids and themed of course.
I was referring to Crystal Grotto...then I said it would be awesome to have the tech used in Monsters Unchained...not the Boat Tech from Pirates. Pirates is awesome...One of my favorites...Probably -- not sure why he would think the post he quoted was referring to that ride when it talked about boat tech, though.
Boat ride would be good for Hades though.I doubt they'll use the boat tech for the villains land as it's already being used for Pandora (DCA one). Personally I think if anything they should use it as a Namor/wakanda ride if they ever built a Wakandaland. But anyway it's pretty much confirmed at this point we are getting a coaster (prob Maleficant) and a dark ride (prob trackless which is a first for MK)
