UGH. Jaws would’ve been perfect. Also bringing back jaws would’ve been the ultimate power move.

Wish we could’ve kept the og.

Nearly everything about 1990s USF was better than what's there now; it's almost unbelievable how much worse the park is in terms of attractions.

Diagon Alley as a whole is amazing and better than Jaws alone, but Jaws was certainly better than Gringotts.

Revenge of the Mummy is the only one that's even close in quality to what it replaced.

Agreed.

Hopefully they really put some time and thought into what/how they redo USF.

This rumor had me until Jaws. While I would love it I don’t think Universal wants to deal with animatronics in water ever again. Would love to be wrong.
Honestly the only thing I heard about it was that they were considering using the ride system they had designed for the indefinitely delayed/scrapped Zelda boat ride, where there would be a track above and below, allowing for tighter turns. I think it was going to be indoors.

I’m not a prolific leaker or anything, but occasionally people I know will share stuff with me, and then something will come out from someone else that lines up with that information. This would be one of those times, and if correct, I’m happy that BttF won out,

Why? Was Jaws the worse option? Or is BTTF really good?

I would rather have Back to the Future The Ride return to The Simpsons building than get it replacing F&F and shoehorning the new bit for the tram tour. It will sort of work as a bit, but much like F&F it won't play well as its own ride.

The new tram tour design will help create a fun bit replacement for the design of the trams.

We already have a set of media that has legit Chris Lloyd as Doc, Tom Wilson as Biff and some of the best theme park queue and pre show media of all time, and feeling like riding in a version of the DeLorean. It is certainly one I think that would not be topped with a new attempt at shoehorning BTTF in for a quick fix.

I think F&F is in for more for that real estate it provides.

Looking through some of the POVS of Monsters Unchained (which I'm sure don't quite do the ride justice) but I'm a little disappointed about the animatronics/ride path. A lot of it seems to have the same problem with the recent Disney animatronics but almost exemplified where you have these very very advanced animatronics but in this case the ride gets them right in your face for them to throw their arms up and go "BOO!" in a, imo, comedic manner. Seems a little weird for a ride like this, not to mention how many of the monsters are just set dressing for Dracula's chaos.

Imo this was the ride I was like REALLY excited for so maybe it was just unrealistic expectations but it's a little sad to see what imo could have been a little better executed.

The drone pilot staffing has been done and theOR dragons will be operating soon.

Possibly by some of the preview dates.

Pyro and night show testing again soon as well.
Will The new Hotels get notified of Fireworks Testing?

Crazy UOR hasn't announced This Nighttime Spectacular yet!

Literally everyone getting off the ride is saying it is next-level, a top attraction in the world. POVs won't do any of the experience justice.

I disagree - It's well done and the POV videos ignore all the other special effects you can't see entirely (or feel/hear).

The biggest advice I can give to fellow theme park fans is to never see POVs of an attraction (even if you don't plan on attending soon). Don't spoil the attraction for yourself.

People said that about Forbidden Journey too and they were wrong.

That said, I do think Monsters will be great (and I have not watched any videos).
