The Warner Bros Studio Tour - where the Harry Potter films were shot - is understood to have exclusive rights to Harry Potter themed entertainment attractions in the UK, so Universal Parks can't do a UK Harry Potter land. Some people are suggesting we will get Jurassic in some form in the park based on concept art, but IDK, I haven't spotted any clues in the art yet

Could they do an HP hotel though? If that hotel that is a long the entrance are is Potter that could be popular

But But But Comcast can't afford to do anything major after EU....because streaming losses and cord cutting and stuff...

Honestly? I could see a situation where Comcast is looking at this 100% as the need to diversify. Having amusemnt parks around the globe provides nice protection in the event that revenue from the film and/or phone/internet buisness dries up.

Not that anyone asked, but here's my predictions for Universal Studios Great Britain, mixing strong rumours and speculation for lands with my own guesswork for what'll actually be in each of them. I tried to study the concept art as best as I could so I wasn't just making wild guesses into the void, and I kept these sets of predictions grounded in reality, not my own fantasy.

If anyone cares, once I made this I also made a dream park version of this concept art breakdown, that featured the things I thought would actually be the most interesting and cool for the park, instead of what I genuinely expect will be greenlit. I'll post it if there's interest.

If anyone else wants to make their 'Bingo cards' for what we'll see, please go ahead, it'll be fun to see who guesses the closest to the eventually announced attraction line-up!

I'm curious how this will compare to DLP in terms of attendance. DLP has the advantage of geography being in continental Europe.
Being 6 years out, its so hard to tell. Impossible to tell at this moment how US/UK/EU relationships will be at that moment. This could end up being a strong decision if there is further separation between US and EU/UK

Seems possble/realistic. I was debating on if the area you have for LotR was that or possibly a variation on EU's Dark Universe, but from a personal standpoint, I'd love for it to be LotR. For the BttF coaster, it would be a missed opportunity if it didn't go 88 MPH (which would possibly put it closer to the range of a giga... though a very "tall" hyper is also possible).

What is impossible to dispute is that this park will take a LOT of inspiration from Beijing with several assets (including much of the right half of the park) looking like it will be more or less copy/pasted between the parks.

I mean this falls under the NBC Universal Umbrella which is an entertainment company and has long established history of theme park operations all over the world. This is nothing new or different for them.

I believe that they have third-party deals with hospitality companies for hotels and food/bev at most of their properties.
