It looks like this initial concept art, while vague, is starting to shape expectations for the parks.
Park entrance is Hollywood themed, you have a kids area (DreamWorks or UK IP?), Back to the Future, Jurassic World, WaterWorld (likely replaced by Bond if they can get the IP), Shrek, Minions... and Jaws. The HD version of the image shows a hanging shark with Amity-looking facades across it.

It being the UK's best theme park on opening day? Not saying it will get to UOR's level of popularity, but they could added Potter and more "hot IPs" later on if they need to.

The Warner Bros Studio Tour - where the Harry Potter films were shot - is understood to have exclusive rights to Harry Potter themed entertainment attractions in the UK, so Universal Parks can't do a UK Harry Potter land. Some people are suggesting we will get Jurassic in some form in the park based on concept art, but IDK, I haven't spotted any clues in the art yet

They’re the reason who even used the term “anchor”. A mall is designed around an anchor, a theme park is not.
Because nobody wants to damage their cash cows or other competing attractions. Expect some original stuff, and copies of attractions from Universal parks that do not attract a lot of European visitors.

Great news to wake up to. I'll be there as a 52 year old on opening day.
I hope this goes ahead as planned but the big thing that popped out for me was ‘subject to planning permission’ which in the UK is a nightmare. The old plans for the paramount/ London resort were held up for years by this and there are numerous other examples of infrastructure being cancelled or delayed by planning like the cancelled sphere arena in London or the conversion of Battersea Power station to a theme park.
Assuming it goes ahead I really hope it has some sort of UK area as well with a few unique attractions. It would be great to see an ardman studio area if they could get the rights or as other have said James Bond or Tolkien represented in the park in some way. A Hobbit barrel ride orBond version of something like radiator springs racers would be great IMO

The current UK government is all about stopping planning restrictions from impeding growth, and the government can override local concerns for significant projects which this is being considered to be.
The prime minister also had a photo op with the announcement and some of the cabinet are going to the local area today. It seems like they're not concerned at all about being associated with a quagmire so I think planning permission will be a formality at this point.

Over a year ago it was rumoured that the park would no contain any direct clones from Florida to try to minimise cannibalisation from visitors going USF.
Harry Potter was therefore not expected and even less likely with the Warner Bros tour down the road, Jurassic Park/World does appear to be in the plans but it would not be River Adventure or Velocicoaster.
The press release says the planning application is going direct to the Government so it's basically guaranteed to be approved. The local council/MPs have been on board since day one and even wrote to the new government supporting the project after the last election. As much as I wanted the London Resort to go ahead they never had any money backing them they then got lost in a quagmire of delays and did not get the local residents on board like Universal have here.
The government are drooling over it today in trying to gain kudos for bringing investment to the UK. I dare say they’ll bend over backwards to not have it backfire on them.
