Trip Report The Spontaneous Spring Break Trip! - March 2025

Hello everyone! Welcome to my first ever *official* trip report! Some of you may have followed my postings as I've done live trip updates in another thread, but this is my first time actually posting here.

For those of you who don't know me (I don't get outside of the Chit Chat forum too much anymore), I'm PUSH! I'm a teacher from Wisconsin.

When: March 22-March 26, 2025
Who: My parents and me
Where: Port Orleans Riverside (our go-to resort)
Why: My mom and I are both teachers in different districts. This is the first time our spring breaks have lined up, so we made the decision to go two weeks before our arrival.

Also, a little more info before I begin... we will be back down in June, so this was just a quick trip to get away. We weren't trying to accomplish everything. It wasn't the "marathon" that our normal trips are.

Sit back, keep your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the thread, and enjoy reliving my trip with me!

Great trip reporting!! I really hope you write, at least something, about your June trip. The shipping information was news to me! Thank you!!
Thank you! If I do, it'll probably be a live report and won't be as "formal" as this one. Since it's a two week trip, I don't know if I'd remember as many specific details about each day if I wait until after the trip.

I enjoyed your report, thanks for taking the time to put it together...
As a former Wisconsinite - I agree with your observations about cheese curds in particular & cheese in general - when you've had fresh nothing else can compete.

I agree, too!! I am from Northern NY, only miles from Canada. I love "squeaky" cheese. That's what we called curd cheese growing up. Whenever, I go home, I bring back multiple bags of curd cheese and salt potatoes because I just can't find them in Pittsburgh.
