Trip Report The Spontaneous Spring Break Trip! - March 2025

Hello everyone! Welcome to my first ever *official* trip report! Some of you may have followed my postings as I've done live trip updates in another thread, but this is my first time actually posting here.

For those of you who don't know me (I don't get outside of the Chit Chat forum too much anymore), I'm PUSH! I'm a teacher from Wisconsin.

When: March 22-March 26, 2025
Who: My parents and me
Where: Port Orleans Riverside (our go-to resort)
Why: My mom and I are both teachers in different districts. This is the first time our spring breaks have lined up, so we made the decision to go two weeks before our arrival.

Also, a little more info before I begin... we will be back down in June, so this was just a quick trip to get away. We weren't trying to accomplish everything. It wasn't the "marathon" that our normal trips are.

Sit back, keep your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the thread, and enjoy reliving my trip with me!

Day 2 - No Park Day

Our plan going into this trip was to use old tickets that we upgraded to non-expiration tickets probably 20ish years ago. We only had two days left on the tickets, so we were going to have one non-park day. I wish we would have documented how much we paid for those tickets back then... I'm sure we saved a lot of money because of it!

We ended up sleeping in a little bit, probably until 7:30ish. But we had to be ready to go at 9:00 because we had a breakfast reservation at Boma at 10:20. We hopped on a bus to Animal Kingdom, then transferred to Animal Kingdom Lodge from there. We ended up getting there a little earlier than necessary, so we took a look through their gift shop. I really like their shop. I looked for my shirt, but they didn't have it at all. We also explored the lobby a little bit. I also love their lobby. I would love to stay at AKL some day.

The view outside our room, as we were walking to the bus stop:

We had tried Boma on our trip last year and loved it, so we decided to do it again this time. My favorites are the sticky buns with vanilla sauce and the jungle juice. I had 3 or 4 plates and was definitely full by the end. As we were eating, the CMs did a drum line through the restaurant, which was cool.

While it was very good this time once again, I think we've had our Boma fix for a little while. I don't think we'll go back anytime soon, as we'd like to try new places. That seems to be how it goes... we really like a place, do it again on the next trip, then decide we've had enough of it and want to try new places.

After Boma, we played a little bit of "bus roulette". We didn't have anywhere specific to go, but we needed to get on a bus to a park to get a transfer back to Riverside. We opted for the first bus that came, Hollywood Studios. Upon arriving at Hollywood Studios, we decided to take the Skyliner for a quick loop before heading back to the DHS bus stop. Well, that was the plan at least. We got on the Skyliner and made it to the hub at Caribbean Beach. Once we got there, we debated whether we wanted to head back or take a route to somewhere else. We ended up choosing to head on over to the Epcot station. Once we got to Epcot, we started walking toward the Beach Club and Boardwalk, once again debating where we wanted to go. We noticed the Friendship boat was docked at Epcot, so we opted to do that instead. We have never taken that boat before and thought it'd be something different to do. So we ended up taking the boat from Epcot, to Boardwalk, to the Yacht & Beach Club, to the Swan & Dolphin, all the way back to Hollywood Studios. Somehow I don't have any pictures of the boat ride, but it was nice and relaxing!

At that point we had made it back to Hollywood Studios and headed for the bus stop. After we got back, we hung out at Riverside for a little bit in our room.

Our two plans for the day were Boma and Disney Springs, so a little bit later we walked down to the boat launch that takes you from Riverside to Disney Springs. Riverside is a beautiful resort. I love the ambience. It's very peaceful and relaxing, and has some great theming. I know people complain about the prices of Disney resorts (and I agree... they're expensive!), but you're not just paying for the room. You're paying for the resort. Yes, you can save money by staying at a Holiday Inn, but you don't get the beautiful grounds, theming, and resort feel.

Day 2 - No Park Day (Continued)

I always enjoy the boat ride from Riverside to Disney Springs. We stopped at French Quarter along the way to pick up some more guests, then headed along our way.

20250324_133825.jpg

Once we got to DS, we went through security and made our first stop at the Christmas store. We always get a Christmas ornament for every trip, with the year on it. We liked a couple, but ultimately decided to wait until June when our entire crew is there. This was a shorter trip without everyone, so we felt like June was the better trip to represent with an ornament.

After that, we headed into the Disney Co-Op store. I again looked for my shirt, but no luck. After that we headed to the World of Disney. This store is always so chaotic, and I honestly don't love it. It really doesn't have anything unique. It's the same as everywhere else on property. That's my biggest complaint about merchandise... every store has essentially the same items. I wish they'd be more unique to their location and offer a bigger variety. There have been years that I don't like the lineups at all and don't buy anything. I guess that saves me money, but when I'm at Disney, I'm willing to spend!

I did spot my shirt at the World of Disney, but it didn't have my size. Shocker, shocker. And it was on a rack that said the shirt was not available in any other sizes. At that point, I had accepted the fact that I wouldn't find the shirt in my size, and I'd have to hope they had restocked it for our June trip. It happened to a shirt I was looking for last year. They only had the very smallest and very biggest sizes, but nothing that would fit me. Ultimately, I never got that other shirt last year, but they had it this year all over the place. However, I didn't like it as much this year, so I didn't get it.

20250324_142306.jpg

After the World of Disney, we headed towards the Lego Store. My mom went in, as my brother and SIL enjoy Legos, but she didn't end up getting anything for them. While she was in there, my dad and I went to Uniqlo, because my dad forgot his belt at home. So he snagged a new one.

20250324_145207.jpg

After that, we were deciding what to do for supper. It was about 3pm, so we hadn't eaten since 10:30. We weren't really hungry, but we knew we needed to eat later on. We started looking at dining reservations, and there were some available at DS, but we didn't want to just kill time there for another couple hours until suppertime. So we ended up heading back to the boat. Once we got to the boat launch, the Riverside boat wasn't there. But the French Quarter one was, and we decided to take that and then walk back over to Riverside. And that was a good decision.

We got to French Quarter and went to explore the main building a little bit. We stopped in the gift shop first. I like their gift shop. It's small, but it offered more unique merchandise than many of the stores we had seen. And guess what??? They had the shirt in my size! Of all the places on property I had looked over the past 24 hours, it was the tiny little shop at French Quarter. I guess the smaller amount of guests helped out. I believe I got the last in my size. So it ended up being good luck that the Riverside boat wasn't there, and we decided to take the French Quarter boat instead.

20250324_154828 (1).jpg

20250324_155728.jpg

We then looked through the lobby and food court, then walked back to Riverside. We stopped at Fulton's General Store, which is Riverside's gift shop. Normally we really like this store, but it again had all the generic merchandise that we had seen everywhere else. We didn't feel like it had a great selection this time, and thought French Quarter's was better, despite it being about a third of the size.

20250324_162754.jpg

We walked back to our room, and realized we still had not figured out what we were doing for supper. We looked at dining reservations again, but couldn't do anything in parks since we didn't have tickets. We also didn't want to do a lot of bus transfers again. We felt like we've been doing nothing but riding buses and taking transportation around property, so we wanted something easy. The best options were eating at the food court or Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom. We opted for Rainforest Cafe. I know, it's not the best food, but we went for it. So for the third time in two days, we took a bus to AK.

We got there and had to wait a little bit before we were seated. It was pretty busy and chaotic at the check in table. The hostess said she'd let us in early if we gave her a good Google review. She said that to about half the people who were checking in, so we didn't give her a review. We didn't love how she was doing that. It was apparent that she was not employed by Disney.

20250324_175323.jpg

Once we got to our table, we ordered the cheese curds as an appetizer. As Wisconsinite, the cheese curds were a little disappointing. We can get much better ones pretty much everywhere we go up here. It came with some onion strings, which were very good. My mom and I got burgers. They were decent, but they lacked seasoning. My dad got the lasagna, and he said it was good. Ultimately, it was a lot more expensive than the quality warranted, but you're paying for the experience and ambiance. And we haven't been to a Rainforest Cafe in years, so we don't regret it.

20250324_192203.jpg

After our meal, we just missed the bus back to Riverside. However, another one came about 15 minutes later, and we were on our way. On the bus ride back, a bunch of us near each other figured out all of our home states connect in the Midwest. There was Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Indiana, and North Dakota. Pretty cool. We were able to help a mom and her family figure out what bus stop to get to, as this was their first time at Riverside. They normally stay at the Poly with her parent's DVC points, but they were coming without them this trip.

We got off at the main building and went for dessert at the food court. I got the Thumper carrot cake for Easter. It was pretty good, and I'm not a big carrot cake person.
20250324_203124.jpg

We then walked back to our room for the night.

Day 3, Part 1 - Hollywood Studios

This was our last real day of our trip, as the next morning would essentially be packing up and waiting to head back to the airport. In the morning my dad and I rope dropped Hollywood Studios, as my mom decided to stay back at the resort. Hollywood Studios is her least favorite park, as she's not a big thrill-ride person. The only rides she does is Mickey & Minnie and Toy Story, and she could take or leave those.

My dad and I just missed the bus to Hollywood Studios, so we had to wait. It took probably 15ish minutes for the next one to come, but we eventually made it to the park. The lines were already pretty long to get in. Again, we wish we had our own car. Leaving the resort before the park opens is much different taking the bus versus driving. When you drive, that usually gets you pretty close to the front of the line to scan in. When you take the bus, you still might be pretty far back. We often found that had we driven, we would've been at the park before the bus even left our resort.

20250325_075257.jpg

20250325_075302.jpg

We were let in a little before early entry and allowed to go make a line for our rope drop ride, which was Rock N Rollercoaster. So we headed down Sunset Boulevard and had to scan in with a CM to prove we were a resort guest. It was nice to see the area pretty empty, as I think most people rushed to Slinky or Rise. It also allowed for some good photos without anybody in the way.

20250325_080659.jpg

20250325_080720.jpg

20250325_080856.jpg

We didn't do Rock n Rollercoaster last year, because it was underdoing a refurb. And we figured we don't have many more chances to ride it with the upcoming Muppet retheme. We waited probably 15 minutes before the ride actually opened, and they let us in the queue. Once we got it, we walked right through the preshow and almost onto the ride. I think we were on the second ride of the day.

I couldn't choose which guitar picture to share, so I chose two. I have a few more I was debating between, too! 😂

Day 3, Part 1 - Hollywood Studios (Continued)

After Rock N Roll, we went over to Tower of Terror, which was another walk-on. We did have to watch the preshow this time, but once we got out we nearly walked right into the elevator without a wait. Where the lines branch off, it seems like most people had just gone straight and didn't realize they could go left. My dad and I decided to go left, and the CMs by those elevators started cheering when we did, since they actually had people to choose their side!

20250325_084053.jpg

20250325_084142.jpg

20250325_084201.jpg

We were only on our elevator with one other group of two people, and we both got the front row. It's definitely the most empty an elevator has been when I've ridden.

After our first ride, we decided to get right back in line and ride it again. We walked-on right away again, but this time it was a full elevator.

After Tower, we were going to go standby Mickey & Minnie, but by the time we got down the street, the line was pretty long and the outside queue was mostly full. So we decided to head back to Toy Story Mania. Once again, by the time we got back there, the line was 40 minutes long. We didn't want to wait that, so we went about waited about 5 minutes for Alien Swirling Saucers instead.

20250325_090953.jpg

20250325_091603.jpg

Afterwards, we continued out of Toy Story Land and into Galaxy's Edge. My first trip I ever had to Galaxy's Edge, I was pretty disappointed. It was okay, but felt they could have done a lot more. I think my expectations were set too high. But since then, I've grown to enjoy the land more and more with each trip. I still wish they would have based it around the original trilogy and a land that people are familiar with, but it is themed really well once you get past that.

We didn't end up riding anything or doing a whole lot in Galaxy's Edge. Rise was a long wait, and we aren't huge fans of Smuggler's Run.

Day 3, Part 1 - Hollywood Studios (Continued)

We continued on through Galaxy's Edge and over to Muppets. My dad and I are pretty disappointed that this is going away. We love this show and always find it funny. We quote it all the time in our everyday lives. Our favorite line is, "Forever?!" anytime someone says the word "forever". We will technically be down in June again for its last day on June 7th, but that will be our arrival day. And we don't know if we want to use one of the days from our ticket to go to Hollywood Studios for a couple hours, so this was our "farewell" to Muppets. :(

I made sure to look around a little extra and the small details and noticed some things I've never noticed before. I also made sure to look for the key under the mat once last time. It's one of my favorite hidden details in all the parks. I feel like they don't do those types of things as much anymore.

20250325_093534.jpg

20250325_093552 (1).jpg

20250325_093732.jpg

Once we got out, we looked around the Muppets Courtyard area one last time. It's a shame they never brought back the shops back here. It's been such a waste of space for a while, which I'm sure played a factor into decided to put Monsters Inc in the location. But if they would have just restored it to what it was, we wouldn't have had that problem.

20250325_095826.jpg

20250325_095906.jpg

We then continued walking past Star Tours and were contemplating getting in line, but we knew we wanted to be back to our resort relatively early because we had to be over to Magic Kingdom by 2:00. We knew were were only spending a few hours at Hollywood Studios, so we passed on riding this time. My dad wanted to pull the rope by Indiana Jones, so we did that.

Day 3, Part 1 - Hollywood Studios (Continued)

The last things we had as a must do before leaving the park was One Man's Dream. We haven't been able to see the actual film in years, because it's always been a movie preview. But this time, it was the documentary! We love the film, so we had to do it. We walked right through the museum, because the film was about to start. As soon as we sat down, it started playing within a minute. It's such a nice tribute to Walt and gives a good, but quick, overview of how everything started. If you've never seen it, I highly recommend it!

20250325_101048.jpg

20250325_103209.jpg

Once the film got done, we got some popcorn. Disney popcorn just hits differently, and it's probably my favorite snack down there. I knew I had to get it once. We took it over to eat in the old Starring Rolls area. As we were eating, Chip and Dale walked by.

20250325_104509.jpg

Next, we headed through the shops and out of the park. We bussed back to Riverside, once again just missing the bus. Such a common theme this trip.

Once we got back, we met my mom at the Riverside Mill for lunch. I can't remember what I got... maybe chicken strips. But I know I got a cookies n' cream shake that was very good.

Day 3, Part 2 - Magic Kingdom

After lunch, we went back to the room and sat for a little bit before making our way back to the bus stop. It was time for our fourth and final park of the trip... Magic Kingdom! We had lightning lanes for Pirates, Haunted, and Tiana.

As we entered the park, I took some pictures of the train station and the castle. We also saw the Main Street Vehicles driving around.

20250325_134531.jpg

20250325_134618.jpg

20250325_134810.jpg

20250325_134833.jpg

However, it was time to head to Pirates for our LL, so we made our way to Adventure land. It was absolutely packed. Adventureland is a tight area to begin with, but it was even more crowded than normal. I'm glad we had the LL, because the standby line for Pirates was all the way outside. They had temporary switchbacks up. I've never seen it that long before. Again, spring break crowds were in full effect.

Pirates was fun, as usual. My favorite part of the ride is the first part in the caves, before you go down the drop. There's just something about that dark and cool ambiance with the music.

Once we got off Pirates, it was time to use our Haunted Mansion LL, so we meandered over to Liberty Square. Again, very busy the whole way. We took the little path that connects Adventureland to Frontierland, right by the exit to the Tiki Room. There were either some very oblivious guests, or just rude guests. Everyone was able to stay to the right to keep traffic flowing, except one woman. She decided to get out of her side of the path and go into oncoming "traffic", just to stand there. She ended up clogging up the entire walkway and wouldn't move. Once she finally moved, another woman came and pushed right through me to get past me. She literally made contact with me and forced her way through. Like, I'm sorry that this other woman is making it so I can't move.

We eventually got to Haunted without anymore hiccups, but the standby line was all the way back to the riverboat entrance. Again, I'm glad we had a LL. With the LL we only waited a couple minutes. HM is my favorite ride. I've always loved it. It's a classic, nostalgic Disney dark ride. I'm a sucker for those. I wish they'd build more dark rides that are quick to load and eat crowds. Especially at parks other than MK.

20250325_142237.jpg

20250325_142955.jpg

After HM, we were all pretty thirsty, so we stopped for some beverages at the cart between HM and the Tangled restrooms. My Coke was pretty warm and not very refreshing.

We had some more time to kill before our LL for Tiana. We looked around the Christmas shop, then came out to the parade starting. We got trapped and had to wait for the parade to pass, but eventually made our way over to Tiana. I'm not sure if it was just the post-parade crowd, but that was a mess forming lines at Tiana's. The standby line was out the the gift shop, and they had no ropes to guide people. Instead, they have tape on the ground, but they needed to leave part of the path open, because the LL entrance was intersecting where they had guests going. So there was a CM trying to direct people and hold people before the gap, so that LL people could get through. But then guests weren't paying attention, and it created all kinds of confusion. The real issue is they should have had ropes instead of just tape on the ground. Guests aren't paying attention to the tape. I've never seen a line so disorganized at Disney, but again... maybe it was just the post-parade crowd.

Despite the mess, we were able to sneak our way into the LL entrance and get on. This was our first time riding Tiana, as we missed the opening by a week last year. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't comparing everything to Splash Mountain. They left so much similar that it's impossible not to. They essentially just replaced the animatronics and added some more greenery. I noticed the lack of detail, and seemingly more "filler" than Splash. But the biggest thing that got me was the lack of narrative. There was no story. Unless I missed something, it seems like the story was, "Tiana needs to find a band to play at a celebration. Oh, look, there's a band! Wow, they're extremely good!" And then that's pretty much it, and there's no story after about the midway point of the ride. I have no idea why we're going down a mountain. There was no problem or conflict. Honestly, the entire ride was extremely disappointing for me. Splash was so much better, and this is probably one of my least favorite rethemes. At least with The Great Movie Ride and Maelstrom, we got solid replacements. But Tiana's feels like a rushed patch job that wasn't thought through. Maybe my opinion will change with time. The one good thing was the finales scene. That was pretty cool.

20250325_151831.jpg

20250325_152618.jpg

20250325_152623.jpg

After Tiana we started heading over to Tomorrowland to ride the Peoplemover. On our way, we stopped along the side of the path and started figuring out what our plans were the rest of the night. It was super crowded, and we knew we weren't going to get much done the rest of the night. We ended up being able to book a LL for Mickey & Minnie for 8:00, but we didn't really want the hassle of taking another bus over and transferring. We also were looking at what was available for dining reservations. We saw Mama Melrose popped open, and we booked it and decided to hop over. But then I checked again, and a reservation for Tony's opened up. We had never been there before, so we changed our reservation. We ended up cancelling our LL for Mickey & Minnie.

Once we figured all that out, we continued on toward the Peoplemover.

Day 3, Part 2 - Magic Kingdom (Continued)

We rode the Peoplemover, which is one of my favorites. It's so relaxing, and it's all about the ambiance. Once we got off, we were going to do the Carousel of Progress, but again... the crowds were ridiculous. The entire theater would have been packed, so we opted not to go. Instead, we wandered around and did some shopping. We stopped at Star Traders, Big Top Souvenirs, and the Beauty and the Best shop.

At that point, we had a LL for Little Mermaid, but it wasn't time to use it yet. We were going to do PhilarMagic while we waited, but when I checked the app, Country Bears was back open after being down the past hour or two. We hadn't seen the new version yet, so my dad and I walked over while my mom did some people watching.

Honestly, I enjoyed the new version. I didn't think I would. I enjoyed the old version, too, but the new version did a really good job of keeping the same humor. Some aspects didn't hit as hard, but overall, it was pretty good. I loved the Big Al teddy bear that the little bear was holding.

20250325_180126.jpg

20250325_180909.jpg

At that point it was time for our Little Mermaid LL, so we went back over and rode it. It was noticeable that this ride needs a refurb. I couldn't count how many animatronics weren't working. A couple of the Ariel ones were stagnant, even as she was supposed to be singing. It was pretty sad to see.

20250325_182114.jpg

20250325_183037.jpg

Then we made our way back to Main Street to do some shopping. The Emporium didn't have much that we hadn't already seen at other shops.

20250325_184000 (1).jpg

20250325_184200.jpg

After a little shopping, we went to check in at Tony's.

Like I said, we have never eaten here before. I know it's gotten mixed reviews, but we wanted to try it. We ordered the fried mozzarella for an appetizer. My mom had the chicken alfredo, and I had the same, just without chicken. My dad had the spaghetti and meatballs.

The fried mozzarella was very bland. The cheese didn't taste like much. That might be the Wisconsinite speaking, but there's much better fried cheese up here. I enjoyed my fettuccine alfredo, though. It wasn't spectacular, but it was good. My mom said the same thing. My dad said he liked the meatballs.

Overall, we said the only reason we'd come again was to try the bread appetizer, but probably would try something else first before coming back. We don't regret doing it, though. It gets the job done.

Departure Day (Insert Tiny Violin Here)

We've made it to the last day of the trip... departure day. Our flight was heading out around 1:20, so Mears picked us up around 10:20. Before the bus, we got breakfast at the food court. I split a ham and cheese omelet with my mom. We didn't want anything too heavy or greasy before the flight. It was very average. I would've gotten something else, had it not been for the upcoming flight.

We also stopped at the gift shop to ship all of our purchases home. We just found out you can do this, and the price for shipping caps out at $40. That a lot cheaper than bringing a checked bag for souvenirs (we only brought carry-ons and our personal items for the short trip).

We actually stopped down the previous night to ship our items, but their system was having issues. It would process the payment, but then nothing showed up. It would just boot the CMs out of the system after we paid. It was a whole thing, and they eventually had 4 CMs helping us at the same time. They were all super helpful and nice and even offered to ship it for us for free. However, we ended up just coming down the next morning to do it, and at that point the CM didn't know we were supposed to get it for free, and we didn't bother asking. It wasn't their fault, and the CMs were so amazing the night before. We didn't mind. But everything worked this morning.

Once that was taken care of, we headed back up to the room to finish packing. We hung out in the room for a little bit, then headed to the pickup area. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather for a little while, then got on the bus.

Again, we were the first pickup location and had to stop three other times before leaving property. We were getting nervous, because we eventually got to be 2.5 before our flight time and hadn't made our last pickup stop yet. We got a notification from Breeze Airways saying TSA was expected to be backed up, and to get their early. We finally got the airport with less than 2 hours to go. Because we were expecting delays, we went right to TSA. Upon arrival, the lines were extremely short. Like, 5-10 minutes tops. And even then, as we were approaching the line, they opened up another lane for us, and we were the second group in. So we spent a total of 2 minutes going through security. In hindsight, we wish we would have looked through the shops before security.

We then took the shuttle to Terminal B and got some chicken nuggets at Wendy's, knowing we wouldn't be eating again until we got home around 6pm CT. We then waited for our flight. This time we had the extra legroom seats, which did not come with complimentary snacks or beverages. Even though they were extra legroom seats, it still got very uncomfortable for a tall person like me. But they were still much better than other standard economy seats I've flown in. Again, I think I got spoiled with the "first class" seats on the flight down (and we may or may not have booked those for our June trip 👀).

Our flight was uneventful. As we were initially taxiing, there was a baby screaming. We thought we'd have to listen to that the whole trip, but as soon as we too off, he stopped. We then landed in Madison and got right to our car, since it's such a small airport. Then we drove 1.5 hours to home.

I'll have some random pictures to post from the travel day that didn't really fit into this post. But outside of that, that'll do it for the spontaneous spring break trip! I hope you enjoyed it! I've always put off doing real TRs, because they seem like a lot of work and a lot of upkeep. And I'm not going to lie, they do take time! But I'm glad I did one for this short trip. Who knows... maybe you'll see me back here for my two-week-long trip in June!

My big thoughts from the trip...

  1. I'd definitely do a short trip again, but it didn't feel as much as a "vacation". I think there were some other factors for that, though, such as spending so much time on Disney transportation, the spring break crowds, etc. But any time at Disney is better than no time at Disney. That being said, longer trips will always be better. :)
  2. This might be controversial, and I didn't think I'd say it after the trip, but... June > March. Yes, its extremely hot in June, but I kind of like it. That makes it feel like Florida to me, and I don't mind the heat. I'd rather have it super hot than super cold. Maybe that's the Wisconsinite in me. Also, the crowds are a lot less in June. It's not slow by any means, but it's not as much as spring break crowds.
  3. For us, a car is a necessity on a Disney trip. We really did not like having to rely on Disney transportation. We enjoy the convenience of getting in your own vehicle without anyone else, and without having to wait potentially 20 minutes for a bus. It especially helps at the end of the night at Epcot, when we don't feel like we have to beat the fireworks crowd out.
  4. Tiana's was a disappointment. Splash was such an elite ride, and Tiana's doesn't compare.
  5. Country Bears was way better than I had expected! It was probably my highlight of the trip because my expectations were low.
  6. This isn't a plus or a minus in any way... more of a neutral thought. The CMs weren't particularly good or bad this trip. Outside of the ones at the gift shop our last night, they seemed pretty average. Normally there are a couple of good memories from CMs, but nothing really stood out. I normally give several cast compliments throughout the trip, and I only gave ones to the CMs at the gift shop. That may just have to do with us being there a shorter amount of time. Again, not a negative, just something I noticed.
  7. Little Mermaid desperately needs a refurb.
  8. I'm so glad I went! It was a lot of fun. My dad is starting to get older, and who knows how many more times he's going to be able to do a Disney trip. I'll never regret the time I spent with him at Disney. Disney is one of our favorite things to do, and I'm so fortunate to have taken so many trips there.
