No......this can't be right. We were emphatically told in another thread by an Irish man and a football player that Bluey was the show going into this theater this summer.
I was wrong, I assumed that the announcement that the current show was ending and casting for a new show combined with the announcement they had purchased the Bluey rights all within weeks of each other amounted to that being the case. I’m sorry.

However, the hysterical posts reporting that DL was going to let another theatre go dark this summer were also wrong.

I assumed the wrong IP, they assumed a show being cancelled meant nothing would take their place. Which rumor was more wrong?

I think this brings up an interesting case: where would they put Bluey? It has to be somewhere that has high capacity because, let's all come to terms here, it's going to be popular.

I’m assuming Disney Junior or in the Hollywood Backlot. Maybe in that stage area in front of the Pixar Pier bay?

I never said it was for sure going into the Playhouse, I just said it made sense on it closing when aligned with the Bluely announcement. So things lined up and it made sense at the time, we got it wrong. Oops, no big deal.

Bluey though is coming in the Parks, its just a matter of where.

I didn’t read the article but I still believe that’s where it’ll eventually go. Is there any reason to believe that new Mickey show is going to be there for a long time?

Bluey at the Hyperion? Haha

Anything is possible, maybe a full stage show with Bluey?

Anyways, the Playhouse made sense at the time. And like you said could still be the future home if the Mickey show is only for the 70th. As always, I guess we'll wait and see.

Look, I should be happy that they're bringing in more entertainment, but there's a difference between entertainment that will appeal to all ages and entertainment that will make anyone over the age of eight want to gouge their eyes out. I mean, Disney Junior, whatever, fine. But this.........

No. Gross. STOP.

Naturally, Disney has found the ONE thing that would annoy me more than an empty theater and gone full speed ahead. Stop trying to make Pixar Fest happen! It ended! Let. It. End!!!

I'm just giving you guys a hard time. Like Mick said, this new show can just be for the 70th and Bluey could still go there. I think you also had said 2026 in one of your posts. It really makes the most sense to go there, just not yet.

Good point theres such a huge push for Pixar to be a thing. Pixar Pier and Pixar Fest in 2018, then Pixarfest resurected in 2024 with a food festival that did not perform well, and now more Pixar Feat leftovers. Can this lame event finally stop.

Someone at Disney Parks has a mandate to push Pixar as a brand and theyre doing a bad job.
