From what I understand, Space really needs the love, so it's hard to imagine it being anything else.
That’s a shame. It really needs it.Don’t expect to see Space get attention first.
Unpopular opinion maybe but my wish is for a complete rebuild like the Shanghai version. Not sure though if there is enough space to do that?
I do agree, though it's worth mentioning that, at least according to Marc Davis, the decision to not have much of the Dead Man's Grotto wasn't because of budget/time restrictions, but because Davis thought it "wasn't necessary." He said that the only reason they made them was to get the boats under the train tracks and into the actual show building. So when they build the MK Pirates, they didn't include the caverns because there was no reason to get the boats under a track. I'm sure the saved costs were appreciated by management, but Davis claims it was because he said to not include them. (All this comes from "Marc Davis In His Own Words")Basically because I wish the MK pirates wasn’t the worst one and was more than the Disneyland original cut in half.
Maybe if they use the Fire Mountain expansion pad that's still unused? Personally though I wouldn't want the Shanghai ride, I prefer the original.Unpopular opinion maybe but my wish is for a complete rebuild like the Shanghai version. Not sure though if there is enough space to do that?
I thought it was because he wanted to save some stuff for the western river expedition hoping the park would have both.I do agree, though it's worth mentioning that, at least according to Marc Davis, the decision to not have much of the Dead Man's Grotto wasn't because of budget/time restrictions, but because Davis thought it "wasn't necessary." That too! Admittedly I haven't finished reading the book yet, I haven't gotten to the WRE section yet, though I do remember something along the lines of Marc purposefully changing MK's Pirates to make WRE stand out more. WRE never happening is probably one of the biggest tragedies in MK, at least imo, because the thought of a dark ride + rollercoaster + log flume all built in the same show building and intertwining together just sounds amazing.I thought it was because he wanted to save some stuff for the western river expedition hoping the park would have both.
It’s not broken. It was intentionally removed.I hope they fix the waterfall effect ar the beginning. The first minute of the ride feels empty without it.
Then why are the mechanics still in place? It’s not broken. It was intentionally removed.
They aren’tThen why are the mechanics still in place?
Really? They weren’t last I checked. Never the less I wish they would bring it back. They aren’t
There’s a catwalk and some remnants but the bulk of what is required for that effect was removed a while ago.Really? They weren’t last I checked. Never the less I wish they would bring it back.
That’s probably what I’m seeing then. There’s a catwalk and some remnants but the bulk of what is required for that effect was removed a while ago.
While it’s disappointing that Space is not going down yet I’m assuming they have other attractions they are looking to update first ?Don’t expect to see Space get attention first.
But why? WDW as a whole seems to be very anti-water features. Is it that expensive to run water? It’s not broken. It was intentionally removed.
it wasn’t actually water. it was mist made to look like a waterfall that they would project onto. But why? WDW as a whole seems to be very anti-water features. Is it that expensive to run water?
I should clarify. The waterfalls on the side of the boat are still there. The effect that was removed was the Davy jones protection on the fake “waterfall”But why? WDW as a whole seems to be very anti-water features. Is it that expensive to run water?
Speaking of water effects, how about the animatronic in Paris that spills the rum after taking a drink?
