After walking through the land I asked my family for their feelings about the intrusive sightlines, even pointing out Stardust and the Untrainable Dragon show building. They didn’t notice these things until I pointed them out, and even after doing so they didn’t care at all.

Not sure how I missed this earlier. After 425 pages of this discussion, it's good to finally see an honest opinion on the sightline issues. This puts my concerns to rest, and was sorta what I was expecting all along.

While a clear violation of the employees' responsibilities, Disney and Universal's inability and/or unwillingness to deal with these social media personalities continues to be a problem.

"Deal" with them? They invest ALL of their marketing funds into inviting these personalities for their events, new ships, new resorts, etc. They LOVE the cheap marketing they get out of it -- not that I blame them, but it's crazy to watch the biggest YT personalities get preferential treatment & then hear nothing but sunshine & rainbows out of their mouths.

There's a point where one has to think... "is this person worth keeping given that they can't be trusted?"

It's not a solid red line. I'm sure plenty of people were given the opportunity to delete the content in front of management and left with figurative slap on the wrist.

Think of how many years of APs you could buy with that money. And the Single Rider Lines are (usually) so quick…

Mine cry every time they see that ceiling but I still may sell them off. They’re 12, so the 10-year return window at the hospital has unfortunately ended. I didn’t read the small print on that money-back guarantee.

That was all sarcasm. Mocking the social media trend lately (YouTube being the worst offender) where the only "honest" reviews are squeaky-clean positive.

While I was happy to see the rather generic entry arch from the original concept art replaced with the Chronos, there's a daytime photo of it from the entrance plaza floating around that is rather disappointing. It looks small and spindly and does little to obstruct Helios looming large in the distance. If this is our first portal of the day, why-is it surrounded by a barrier as opaque as a chain-link-fence? The approach looks less like beacon drawing us to a theme-park and more like we simply parked really far away from out hotel.

The Chronos portal is cool because its full of kinetic movement though, which photos don't capture. I do agree that it could be a little more... I dunno, permanent looking, maybe.

Overall, the "portals" concept for the park is half-baked. I wish they would have taken every step necessary to ensure that each portal visually separates you from where you were, at least from ground level, once you walk through it. They did it with Diagon Alley and Disney did it with Galaxy's Edge, at least when coming through the tunnel at DHS.

Its free publicity for them (universal) and they didn’t break any rules. The only people mad about them are the ones that are jealous they couldn’t post or review anything before they did. Otherwise, nobody in the general public cares. Its a themepark. Its not serious.

Except USO made clear they didn’t want that “free publicity” in terms of photos and videos. There was dozens of signs in the park. You were allowed official preview labeled photos at portal entrances and those could be shared. Some of these influencers though think they are special.

They can go but they’d better not be posting video from the park. Even the parking lot had signs of no video photos or social media posts.

Case in point. They didn’t even want photos of this being taken and or posted. So whichever employee originally brought in the person who took this better be on the lookout
