Trip Report Did i eat paint chips as a baby?

Once again, it's your favorite trip reporters favorite trip reporter. Prognosticator of Prognosticators ( I don't know what that means I just like Groundhog Day), your buddy, your pal....9000!

I jumped the gun last fall and started a PTR in hopes of visiting in December, but alas,... life, work and the holiday season decided that was a no for me, dog! Even tho my plans of visiting WDW were dashed and i was bummed, I decided to take advice from America's favorite kitchen decor signage which is to Live, Laugh, Love.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago and I was able to get a DVC reservation which leads us to this unhackneyed report! What makes this trip a bit fresh and unusual is the resort I'll be staying at, but we'll get to that shortly. For now, let's get to the cast and crew of this warlock of a TR! There shall be 3 of us!

First up: Me, the most likely reported forum member of all time. I thank political humor for that title.

Second: My good buddy, Justin who joined me on my last trip. It was his first trip to WDW and he experienced all the trials and tribulations that come with visiting with me. Such as this Lil beauty (IYKYK)

Here is a more PG 13 pic

And D: This big fella, who some of you may recognize from a prior report:

It's Bailey! I'll share details later as to why he is joining us again.

When will we be visiting: late March

And now...Where are we staying? To answer this question, I shall ask you a question. You can call me Joshua, and you're Stephen W. Falken becuase my question is...

The game? Can you name the resort that when people say the name of said resort they tend to not say the full and complete name of the resort but instead shorten it? And here's a hint, which if you've read my prior reports you will know that the shortened title of this resort makes me puke in my mouth when I hear it. There are two primary forms of the shortened resort name. Both make me equally puke the same amount. Now, name that resort??

Leaving in 2 days. Have I packed anything yet? Negative. I don't even know exactly where my suitcase is lol.

Will I go shopping for some new clothes that will need to be washed last minute? Definitely. But we did get our new dryer! I know I'm old beucase new appliances excite me! There should be an Only Fans for new appliances and cleaning products. I would subscribe.

Im also excited for this evening becuase there is a historic theatre (over 100 years old) in our town that is playing Back To The Future tonight and we have tickets! Top see it on not only the big screen but in a historic theatre is gonna be awesome! I'll get some pics and post later.

What are your packing for Disney strategies? Are you like my wife and start packing weeks in advance? Or like me and last minute or is your household a mix?

I will sit my suitcase out about 5 days out and throw stuff into it as I think of it. Finishing up the night before. I guess that makes me a little bit like your wife and a little bit like you. How old are you?... I could be your daughter.

We are both last minute packers. I just keep the laundry done so it doesn’t take too long when we do decide to start. We just got a new dryer too, so I know what a great feeling it is! 😂
The movie sounds like a fun time!

Happy Disney Departure Day Eve!

Screenshot_20250322_071643_Disney World.jpg

Planning on heading out as early as possible. Hopefully before 5 am. We have not purchased lightning lane for any days yet but we will. I know we can start making selections 7 days out but when I logged in at 7:10 am it was only offering time slots for late afternoon or evening.

Will probly purchase today and do what we can to adjust times. I've watched many videos and researched a lot online and here on wdwmagic. But any advice would still be appreciated.

Another thing that has REALLY started to annoy me, not puke in my mouth annoying, but just nerve racking is the over use of the word "hack". Especially in regards to Disney. Social Media influencers use the word "hack" when in reality is simply convenient information.

It's not a "hack" to order food from flame tree bbbq and walk around to the lower patio and have a view of Expedition Everest while you eat.

It's not a "hack" to use International Gateway entrance at Epcot.

This morning, I saw a YouTube short for DFB that said it was a "hack" to exit the monorail at TTC and use the ramp to the left to transfer to Epcot instead of to the right. Smh. In the video she even says that there are signs pointing you to the left. Ya, great hack.

Another word/phrase I hear the influencers use is "here's a Disney secret I bet you didn't know"! These are usually not as offensive as the "hacks" but sometimes it's far from a "secret".

I saw a video the other day that said there was a "secret" bar at Disney World. I first thought it might be the speakeasy at Enzos Hideaway or the tiny champagne bar at France Pavilion. No. It was Tune In Lounge at HS. The video said you need to walk ALL the way to the back of Echo Lake (the back?) and look for 50s Prime Time (because apparently it's hard to find 50s Prime Time) and then look for the Tune In Lounge door next to 50 Prime Time. They failed to mention the very large sign WITH AN ARROW that points to Tune In Lounge

Good thing the influencer shared this super secret and difficult to find bar with us!

It feels like.its getting more to difficult to just find quality social media accounts that don't attempt to click bait the daylights out of everything.

Speaking as a person from another century, lol, I Love the convenience of the internet and Google searching as much as anyone else, but, I'm old school and always will be. I used to read the Steve Biernbaum guide books when you kids were little before our trips to WDW. I have an affinity for libraries, trusted friends or family who have officially been somewhere and know something special and/ or worthwhile sharing. I don't understand what the term "social media influencer" means, I might have to ask the librarian the next time I go.SMH
