MK Cars-Themed Attractions at Magic Kingdom

Even if they actually build 4 attractions it will still be one less attraction than what they had in the 80’s (Admiral Joe Fowler, Richard F Irvine, TSI, keel boats, and canoes) or the same number of attractions if you count the two riverboats as one. A lateral move at best on the attraction count.

That's not my point of view. I often just walk around animal kingdom and do no rides at all. I avoid magic kingdom like the plague. My hope is for some people eaters that make it tolerable to be there.

I'll miss the river, but replacing the boat and TSI with what, 4 rides? It should make that park more tolerable.

Your hope for people eaters has already been dashed.

It’s been made abundantly clear Disney no longer wants those. Any new attraction has LL revenue potential now as a crucial factor towards its development and end build. It’s been confirmed by insiders here in this very thread.

Yeah, I don't think some people really get how important it is for the overall experience to have things to do and see that do not require a long wait in a line.
I suppose somebody could claim "but that's what Lightning Lane is for!" - but if every other person is using Lightning Lane, won't that just result in the Lightning Lane lines being long too?
You (and Bob, Josh and Hugh) are right.

There should be no walk on attractions, Walk on attractions is bad for business. All attractions should have full queues and (of course) SELL LLs.
And clearly we are all dumb hicks who hate anything that isn't a big E-Ticket based on an IP. Hey, why don't we fill in the moat around the castle and put a Tangled ride there? And all that space taken up by the water in Animal Kingdom would be a GREAT space for a roller coaster based on Wish...
If you don’t think the park should have a mix of A-E tickets that’s a different argument. Pretty much every theme park and even carnival has a mix of a-e attractions by design.
Word. My family went to Busch Gardens Williamsburg in 2023. Everything there falls into one of three categories:

1) A huge, super-intense roller coaster
2) A thrill ride
3) A kiddy ride with some sort of height/weight requirement

I don't like huge, super-intense roller coasters, so I wound up only going on two rides: a Himalaya-esque ride and a small roller coaster in the Sesame Street section. Huzzah.

Theme parks need attractions that EVERYONE can enjoy. Dark rides, boat rides, that sort of thing.
Something isn't a filler if it isn't being used. No business, parks or otherwise, need of should be devoted square footage to something that is not being used.
The space once occupied by Stitch's Great Escape isn't being used but they're still just letting THAT sit there empty.

Yes! A new water slide ride!!!
Here's your ride:

Water directed to inlet, inlet goes to the canal, canal goes to the water management system, and the Utilidors are hopefully saved.

You knew I was talking abut a major flooding event, right?

Now about the new pond to the south:

There is no conduit or inlet to the new retention ponds down there, and there is no other nearby pond, as @lazyboy97o pointed out. The new pond must be implied.

Orange County's hydrology reports suggest the waters south of this comment will be a new pond, but we will have to see if this changes.

It's so interesting that so many people care so much about the riverboat and Tom sawyer island, yet they both are walk ons every time I go.

what if. and I know it's big IF. but it'd be cool as an homage to TSI if they built hidden caves into the new landscape. add some level of discoverability into the land that allows for some play features apart from rid
Not the point.
It's the loss of the ambiance and tone of the scenery that matters most.
You don't have to set foot on TSI or the Riverboat to experience what they bring.

The world's busiest theme park needs attractions to absorb crowds and give people something else to do besides waiting in line and spending money. It also needs attractions that are accessible for all ages and do not have height requirements or cause physical discomfort. The Riverboat was a relaxing ride for seniors and TSI was a place for kids to run and play.

Otherwise you're left with a park like DHS in its current state, the most miserable to visit without paying extra.

The exhibit you linked to doesn’t include sheet C-108 which should show the area east of the park and provide better context for sheets C-201 and C-202. These two sheets are enlarged plans for a large new pond, the Regional Stormwater Facility, along the south side of Maple Rd. Sheet C-206 also shows a smaller pond being added to the east side of the park access canal.

A new pond in the park would have to be shown in the permit drawings in detail, with the contours of the pond and the water levels.

What people? At an appreciable percentage, not that i have ever seen, and apparently not according to the data WDW has.

As for RoA, what are you talking about? No one uses RoA, its not like there are paddle boats or canoes to ride on it. People aren't using it like a lazy river. There isn't walking paths along the river, or restaurants along its shores.

There is a walking path along the river...

Those are the retention ponds I mentioned.

How are you going to direct surface water to them?

Edit: 'ponds' was missing an 's.'

Who spends big bucks to go on a multi-day vacation that’s “tolerable”…?!?!?!🤪
If that’s your (in general) kinda’ vacation, you have other issues…!!!!! 😜🤣
Local. I pay about the equivalent of one night at the grand Floridan for my pass for the year. I go to MK a couple times a year. It's such a pain to get to and has far too many tourists. Spend way more time in the other three, which I love.

Going to flower and garden after work for dinner is wonderful.
