No, Speedway you drive yourself and the road is flat. This is the self-driving car of Test Track + the scenery of Grizzly River Run + the new element of the ride vehicle being like an all-terrain vehicle.
I mean that SOUNDS like it could be cool! But replacing the river will always put an asterisk on it for me. Even if i somewhat get why.

In 3 to 5 years when this is finally open and when its not down, its going to sell tons of LLMPs, LLSPs, LLPPs, it will use VQ boarding groups for years because its NEW! Folks are gonna want to try it!

Alternatively, the attraction could be so unreliable that it may close 6 months after its open and go down in history as WDW rocket rods....

I don’t even know how to respond to this. Where did this modeling phase occur between SD, DD and CD? And are you telling me you somehow opted out of modeling in Revit for certain phases?

Also maybe tell the AIA

Or Disney

And, I don’t even know how to respond to your response.
Yes, Revit will, essentially, already include modeling, and that was factored into the price of a project done using Revit. The client could not opt out and was made aware of that fact, and that it would include increased fees. We also used AutoCAD.
And, in the article link you provided, modeling is clearly mentioned as a possible “deliverable” in the schematic design phase, and clients were aware the fee would be higher, if they so opted.
What the heck are you even arguing here…?!?!?!
I’m telling you what our firms (which I was employed with for 31+ years) policy and process was regarding such.
I can explain it to you, but I can’t understand it for you.

For some people it could be the greatest ride in the history of the world and still will "suck" b/c they took the river out

but I think for a lot of people they "get it" with taking out the rivers but it better be worth it - and will be a high bar and a very small margin of error

Can you believe this? We’re all talking about the removal of ROA from WDW like it’s not some crazy idea that will ruin the park forever for a cars ride and a nice entrance to Villains land.

So stupid.
Except it won't ruin the parks. At least not for the vast majority of people.

Don't get me wrong, I am not a fan and would be overjoyed to hear the entire project has been cancelled but let's be honest, most people are not going to care one bit.

Its why I have come to terms that the Disney I grew up with and loved is a thing of the past. If Disney and majority of guests don't care about history or theme of the parks, why should I?

I think the problem folks have is they everyone knows WDW has the space to expand and yet they choose to destroy and replace.
