Unpopular Disney world opinions

Space mountain sucks, its bumpy, uncomfortable and just a really mediocre ride thats only popular because the novelty of it being inside.

Oh and CBJ sucks too, and always has.

You can get the pitchforks now, I'll be over by the equally as sucky Swiss Family Robinson's waste of space sipping a dolewhip.
The pitchforks have arrived! I agree the original CBJ was kind of weak and was outdated quickly, only saved by old Parks fans with nostalgia who saw it as charming, however IMO the new update modernised and refreshed it really well, and assured the bears are adorable and full of personality. Whenever I see the show its entire audience is fully into it and having the time of their lives, be they Parks fans, the average vacationer family, or a different type of guest. It did great to tip its hat to parts of the old show whilst incorporating modern recognisable music well and having amazing animatronics.
Is it coconut ADDED to the pineapple Dole whip OR is it only coconut which is not a Dole whip?
I'm sure that it's no pineapple, just a coconut whip. The Dole company of course is a food (primarily I think fruits) distributor, but they also have perfected soft serve ice creams. The pineapple flavouring they're known for is just added to their vanilla whip during serving to a guest, so they can just swap it out for other flavour profiles, like WDW's exclusive citrus flavouring. So the coconut one is just pure nut; adding pineapple to it would be asinine and foolish.
I got an unpopular opinion -

Moana the journey of water is stupid, its in the wrong park, and was total waste of money and resources ;)
Honestly I think that's a pretty commonly-held belief not many people will get angry at you for. I'm relieved it's at least legitimately educational so works in EPCOT well, and I see many kids (and even my own mother!) being shocked at how much they enjoyed it, but it wasn't worth killing Innoventions and destroying the park hub's symmetry for this water play area that for some reason is counted as a second independent water pavilion in the park, separate from it's The Seas neighbour???!!!

I agree with this except for that I do like Moana.

I agree, much to the point where I say this.... Please bring Country Bear Musical Jamboree to Tokyo Disneyland, OLC!

ooo I've got another one.

Its not a beverage cooler.

This annoys me to no end on resort tours. "It's not a fridge, its a beverage cooler so dont use it for things like milk".

There's a whopping great sticker on it saying it cools to 41f. Converting that to my Bri'ish non-freedom figures that's 5c, which is the exact max recommended temperature for a fridge. Unless you've got some onholy poor quality produce in there or theres something severely wrong about produce from US supermarkets that mean they spoil at that temperature then you're fine.

It's a fridge.

Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland > Cinderella Castle at MK.

Despite the Fla castle being much grander in size, the castle out in Cali has something much greater... the Walt factor.

Granted, I appreciate the Fla castle like everyone else. Nothing wrong with it at all. But I will never forget seeing "Walts Castle" in person, and all the nostalgic feelings and imagery that came with it from an era I was unfortunately not around to see.

The Jungle Cruise is mediocre (at best), outdated, and redundant, and it takes up a tremendous amount of space. If they wanted to replace something at the Magic Kingdom, it should have been the first to go*. Leave the Disneyland original since it was Walt's attraction, but dump the MK version. They could probably build two attractions, a restaurant, and a shop on that footprint.

Leave Rivers of America and tear up Jungle Cruise.

*actually Tomorrowland Speedway should be first, but they kind of screwed themselves in terms of building anything major in that space when they shoehorned TRON in.

Hello everyone this is a place for everyone to post unpopular Disney world opinions I’ll start with mine 1. Galaxys edge and dinoland (minus Dino Rama) are in the top 10 best lands Disney has ever designed 2. Constance is the best version of the bride 3. Coconut is the best dole whip flavor 4. The Rivera is a well themed resort 5.runaway railway is better than the great movie ride
I love this! Unpopular Disney World opinions always make for a fun discussion. Here are a few of mine:
  1. EPCOT’s old Future World was better than the new “neighborhoods” concept. Yeah, it needed updates, but it had a unique, cohesive identity that felt futuristic.
  2. The PeopleMover is one of the best rides in Magic Kingdom. It’s simple, classic, and a great way to soak in Tomorrowland.
  3. Animal Kingdom is Disney World’s best park. The atmosphere, theming, and attraction lineup are all top-tier.
  4. Soarin’ Over California was way better than Soarin’ Around the World. The CGI landscapes in the new version just don’t hit the same.
  5. Fantasmic! is the best nighttime show, period. The combination of live actors, water projections, and that killer soundtrack is unbeatable.

Exposed steel on a coaster l isn't as bad as many make it out to be.

Guardians isn't the best spinning coaster in the US. Time traveler at Silver Dollar City is.

The best attractions at WDW aren't based on a movie franchise

The ride was great, Ellen was terrible as usual. Original, in almost every case, is better.
I'm one of the weird few people who finds the script for EEA to be genuinely funny and sort of holds up today. IDK, maybe it's just my sense of humour. Glad Ellen's no longer in EPCOT though, especially considering modern controversy.

I still miss original UOE though, even if I think it lacks the entertainment factor EEA had. But dang, that OG music ('Universe of Energy' / 'Energy, You Make the World Go Round') are like my 2 favourite theme park songs of all time).

I don't think any of these are unpopular or controversial opinions haha. I'd, and I'm sure many others would, agree with all of these points easily. I especially love AK compared to modern EPCOT, though losing Dinosaur will suck big time. The OG Soarin' music was great but with the bendy Eiffel Tower fixed, and EPCOT now looking like its modern self, I think the new ride film is pretty solid (the orange grove smell was a real loss though).

It's controversies and political views that make celebrities a no go for me, either way. It's a stupid decision because like Michael Jackson, there can always been issues that make keeping them in awkward.

Just get no names like they did for Avatar.

The original song in UOE is one of my favorites too.

That’s definitely a litigation thing, since things like medication and baby formula are often refrigerated, and leftover food could give people food poisoning. Kind of like the warning label on q-tips not to put them in your ears, even though that’s generally why people buy them.

Not trying to be all “Well achshually…”, lol, but since you’re not from the US thought you might find it interesting. Everything gets a warning label or disclaimer here!

100% makes sense, thanks for sharing (dont worry didn't come across as a "well achsually" 😆 ), its just a pet peeve I have, all the videos of resort room tours seem to mention it and make it out to be a big deal for your bottles of water and how they might not be cold enough!

-Country Bear Jamboree deserves the "it's creepy and annoying" allegations that it's a small world gets. I do not like those singing bears one bit, but I can vibe with the children of the world. CBJ gives me Gatlinburg tourist trap vibes but without the sincere Southern campy charm of Gatlinburg.
-In fact, the small world haters are weird for hating so hard on an attraction whose message is "we are all human and should respect each other's cultures."
-Cosmic Rewind makes no sense in Epcot, and I'm tired of people calling it one of the greatest Disney attractions. Yes, I will ride it, but it's meh to me and didn't do anything revolutionary. It just contributed to the IP overload in Epcot.
-Remy's isn't great. I wish it had animatronics or more physical sets or SOMETHING other than the 3D.
-I will never understand Spirit Jerseys or Loungeflys. $70 bucks AT LEAST for a long sleeve tshirt and a tiny backpack?????
-Splash Mountain was not a classic attraction and needed to close, problematic past or not. I never really understood why it opened in the first place, since the film it was based on hadn't been publicly available for 40 years (I know this one will really make some folks mad lol).
