If you see the end of the standby line just at or inside the cave I believe its 20-30 minute on average to the Rey room.

Fresh Baked did a recon video a little over a year ago where he rode it 30 times and in one of the segments he calculated out the wait times based on position in line. He broke it out into 6 zones. Interior queue (22 minutes), cave (7 minutes) and 4 zones outside with the first 3 being 4 minutes each and zone 4 being 45+ minutes. You also need to scan the Lightning Lane line as well, because if it is long then standby will be longer.
Ever since that video I've always looked at the queue before entering to gague the wait time over the posted one. I used that technique for Indy on my last trip and the posted wait was like 45 minutes, but the back of the queue showed about 15 which was correct.

I actually do some similar to what he says but unconsciously. You just get a feel for how long a line is even with LL. If you can't see people in the cave, your good to go. If people are in the cave but not outside, its about a half hour.

I just assume the wait times posted are about accurate and go from there. If I wait less, I win. If I wait longer, its usually not more than an additional 10 minutes.

Why they don’t just make every ride with a single LL option like Paris? ROTR has surprisingly decent wait times considering how popular it is because less people are willing to fork over the $25 for one ride.
I’m guessing the answer has to be because they ll make less money. If an MK goes to the park they might decide to buy a ride or two to make their day more enjoyable. If POTC and HM cost $10 each that means that the guest spent $20 instead of $35 or whatever Multi Lightning Lanes cost now. God that branding on that is so awful. I never know what to call these things when I’m posting about them. Really, I’m guessing Disney would rather MK’s not buy Lightning lane at all and go spend all their time in line for new popcorn buckets and seasonal food. That way the tourists and vacationers have a better time and come back.

I just want Old Man Luke to be hosting a Jedi Academy show with effects built in. Sardonic Luke cracking wise only to have his faith restored by the young Jedi he trains.

If I had to guess, this will probably be Mandalorian era Luke since they've already been allowing characters from that era to be in the land and an early lead up to the movie along with the eventual update to Smuggler's Run.
I still hold a firm belief that anything we see in GE will only be from series/movies/eras that Disney has created. The Mandalorian era is a good way to slip in an original character outside of Chewy and R2.

Before I get replies that misconstrue what I'm saying.....
I'm not suggesting that Luke will be in the Mandalorian & Grogu movie or in the upcoming Smuggler's Run update, but that Disney will be leaning heavily on the Mandalorian time period over the next year in the lead up to those things. Luke is part of that timeframe, so that's why I think they will use him to both boost interest in the land while sticking to that time period.

I don't know if it even needs to be Mando era Luke, but certainly could be and that would make sense.
It could also be Luke as shown at the end of Ep7, which is right in GE timeline, as shown in this image -

Luke is also around in 2 of the 3 sequel trilogy films. They could include Luke easily without any adjustment. Same with Han and Lando.
