Rumor Lion King Flume Ride being considered for Animal Kingdom

According to @PREMiERdrum, a clone (edit: see next post for clarification) of the Lion King flume ride rumored for "Disney Adventure World" (yikes, I don't even like typing that) could be headed to Animal Kingdom. Thought this deserved its own thread to keep the Tropical Americas thread separate.

I should interject. This might not be a clone of the Paris project, rather a plan previously designed specifically for AK. I imagine we will see shared efforts in character manufacturing, but there's a good chance this is a smaller-scale, traditional flume.

It is kinda crazy that The Lion King never has gotten its own ride despite being a phenomenon that was even bigger than Frozen in the 90s. I think it's safe to say the property has stood the test of time.

A flume ride right there would be a nice addition and help balance out the park quite a bit imo. Looking forward to this if its true

As currently envisioned, yes.

Savannah Circle will get a slight edit, and those backstage facilities are likely to be rearranged.

It’s one or the other. If the DCA Pandora ride is a water ride, I can’t imagine we will get it.

Is there actually any room to create even a walkway back to a Lion King area north of that backstage access bridge? Harambe House has a significant footprint in that area
