The WDWRR has always been lame when compared to the DLRR.
Just like all comparisons between coasts they both have some pro’s and con’s. The electric starters and exposed signaling conduit are a con, but the WDW locomotives are larger and are a nicer “matching fleet” - plus the run through the swamp feels like an actual train ride for a few minutes vs. a theme park ride. The WDWRR has always been lame when compared to the DLRR.

It usually operated when Splash was closed for annual refurb with the windows covered in the tunnel. The train was being test run again this afternoon. I hope it's a sign it will reopen soon. I wonder if they'll open it back up while Tron is still a construction zone though. Also hope it continues to operate it throughout Splash Mountain's closure.
I know, but the construction required for this overhaul is going to be a lot more extensive than a standard refurb. It's not just the windowed tunnel, but the potential construction impact surrounding the bridge/station past that.It usually operated when Splash was closed for annual refurb with the windows covered in the tunnel.
They should just keep pouring concrete from the top of the ramp and just let it flow down filling in all the nooks and crannies. And, boom, yer done!
They should also install a Slip ’n Slide while they’re at it so they can easily prevent guests who haven’t purchased Genie+ from entering the queue! They should just keep pouring concrete from the top of the ramp and just let it flow down filling in all the nooks and crannies. And, boom, yer done!
Ghost town, they knock off early on Friday?
Um, I think you mean cement. They should just keep pouring concrete from the top of the ramp and just let it flow down filling in all the nooks and crannies. And, boom, yer done!
That’s what he meant, but the word wasn’t quite cemented in his head yet.Um, I think you mean cement.
I agree. I personally love the Christmas decorations they’ve been putting up at the Speedway for the last couple of years, and I really wish it could have similar set dressing throughout the year.If they are going to keep the speedway, why not give it some dynamic visuals and set dressing. Sound effects like they used to have, Electric cars to get rid of the noise and exhaust fumes... Make it a real true epic Disney attraction... California and even Hong Kong did this way better before they tore Hong Kong's out.
My Speedway hopes are to demolish it for a Strage World darkride. My new Speedway hope would be Disney putting up an Autobahn attraction next to the Germany pavilion. Can we really have something more interesting on this footprint in the MK?
Why not both? A Strange World (or other) dark ride at base level with a Futuristic Speedway Attraction on the roof (closer to park level)...the speedway currently sits in a pit...My Speedway hopes are to demolish it for a Strage World darkride.
