There is a difference between puddles caused by uneven grade of the pavement and flooding. Puddles yes at MK, flooding no.

All four parks were built on swampland. A large amount of dredging was required to raise the parks above grade. Fort Wilderness floods because it preexisted the parks on Bay Lake. The parks get puddles and the surrounding area can flood into the drainage systems but the parks themselves with a few exceptions (AK comes to mind) will not flood to a point that they can not be quickly cleared.

Where the grade existed decades ago is rather meaningless. What matters is how it exists today. High ground can still flood if the water can’t get down off of it.

Are there any remaining live webcams at WDW? I remember watching the one at the Swan & Dolphin back in the day. The ones that come up in a quick search are the type where the image updates every few minutes.

The images coming out of Ft. Myers are not good. Feels like a lot more water than in some other recent storms. The stuff that people feared but were grateful didn't materialize.

Exactly. I spent several years in Okinawa and when we had a hurricane bear down on us we knew the difference between getting a glancing blow and a full hit from a monster. This looks like it is going to be a full hit for Florida. Thankfully we had storm shelters to get inside of then. I just hope the people in this thing's path have left or are somewhere safe.

Where did I say it was? I made reference to it coming up for minor ones as well as hurricanes. It's bonkers that people jump to massive conclusions about how the parks arent prepared and will presumably be wiped out in their eyes.
