Could Reflections of Earth be just as immortal as the Electrical Parade?

I did some looking back in light of the well received MSEP return despite only having 2 thirds of the parade running. They did a whole lot of infrastructure work to enlarge the parade route for Light Magic, I think some structures were demolished for it. They added lighting and all other kinds of hardware for this show which is still in use today but it lived in the shadow of MSEP and did not last. MSEP has taken out Light Magic, Paint the Night, Fantillusion and Spectromagic despite the money and infrastructure put into into them. MSEP since Paint the Nights debut has now had 3 runs sending Paint the Night to DCA which is probably the only park we’ll ever see it again. MSEP is the show that has made these parade routes a hot spot at night and despite the high crowds we have to remember what show made the World Showcase the hot spot. It leaves me to wonder if where going to see other incarnations of Reflections in the future.

Light Magic took itself out. Management took out Spectromagic. The sun took out Fantillusion.

I’d say IllumiNations made World Showcase the hot spot. What RoE had become in its last few years couldn’t keep the guests.

I think the end of IllumiNations was inevitable. Had management invested in the show regularly to bring it up to par with other nighttime entertainment, it may have continued to live today. It is a shame that a show like Reflections of Earth can't have an easy revival like the castle park shows. Look at how many times DL has brought back previous shows, but that's not the nature of WDW.

Sad but true, I always thought Reflections of earth had would be as resilient as MSEP and believe it could come back but like I mentioned another version. I wouldn’t want to see it in its old form but do believe that we haven’t seen the last of the reflections of earth storyline and that show format.

I try not to dwell in the past but can't help lament the loss of the truly great soundtracks of the 80s and 90s. Energy, Tomorrow's Child, New Horizons, We Go On, SpectroMagic, Remember the Magic, Canada, Golden Dream. But nothing will ever hit quite like "Promise."

When was the last time they even attempted something profound in an original composition? Destiny came close in 2005, but they've abandoned that one too.

Spectromagic and Reflections of Earth will make you think your in some dramatic happy ending or like the skies are about to open and the heavens are about to drop to earth, as a little kid at the time Reflections of Earth was so mind blowing I thought just that, that heavily orchestrated version of we go on in the middle of the show with the lasers fanning out like that in the smoke freaked me out but in a good way. The smoke was perfect that night to so they were visible from the American adventure and right over, never say them like that again. I didn’t know what to make of it and literally thought I was dreaming or the rapture was coming after getting the crap scared out of me and as I try to wrap my mind around all that the earth opens up. I was expecting the show was going to start without fireworks like always and we’d have to wait for all the countries to light up before the fireworks started. I literally could not believe or register what was happening right in front of me.
