Is the Castle staying the pink(ish) color for good or is it just for the 50th anniversary?

Just wondering. I remember the 25th anniversary birthday cake, and yikes! This one is different, but is it remaining with a pinkish hue or will it revert back to the grey look afterwards?

Sure, but wouldn't continue exposure to the Florida sun achieve the bleaching out then El Cheapo, miser and skimper can save on labor costs, paint and materials.

They said the 50th anniversary was going to last 18 months. So March 2023 would be the earliest you could expect a change. My money is on them taking down the 50th medallion and calling it a day.

I can't remember when, but I seem to recall it being close to that color before (not after the 25th that was practically glowing neon pink).

The new pink paint does have a metallic look to it which helps with the projections.

Exactly, it will end up being the same for a long time. MK's version of the Big Ugly Hat in Studio's. Except this isn't anywhere near as ugly as the hat was.

For all we know there might be a new overlay for the companies 100th in 2023. Would be funny if the castle cake returned, in some form.

I don't think that's accurate. The castle will lose the additional accouterments after the 50th, but the color is staying.

Well Disney hasn’t forgotten about the cake unlike other things. It becoming a option for photos and they also released a mug, oddly sold at Disneyland. They could turn both Cinderella castle and Sleeping Beauty castle into cakes next year .

They do patchwork constantly, they don't paint the whole thing constantly. Which do you think would be cheaper, patching up the pink or entirely changing the color?
