Didn't catch the details.

After reading the article, I would rephrase that as "estimated that 73% of Americans have some immunity" to the omicron variant. Actual levels of resistance to the virus vary substantially within that 73%.

I have a friend who is local who texted me. Busy at DHS and maybe 1% are masked. Will see how it goes for her as the day goes on.

The one mask I saw in her pic was an outdoor CM.

What got me was when I was there, people would cough and pull their masks down to cough. That defeats the purpose!

Oh goodness that so annoyed me. I don't care if it's just a regular cold, the masks were there for a reason!

No announcement on Swalphin yet. Still the one from this summer. Not all resorts required masks for the guests at Disney Springs. For instance the B Resort has their staff wearing but guests optional. I expect that to vary more.

The B resort also has you sign like a covid waiver and that you don’t have covid. It was kind of a lot IMO

Not for me.... I've signed waivers even to get my hair cut with a mask on. Disney effectively has you acknowledge the risk. I signed some waiver for a VIP tour. All things I've done in the last 6 months

I am sure the Disney legal department has now taken note of the discrepancy you have pointed out and will correct it.

It is not a discrepancy. It is a deliberate difference in policy between the two parks. Those policies were carefully constructed before being released. Nothing was in them by accident or oversight.

I saw a receptionist at my veterinarians office do exactly that last month. She pulled the mask down and coughed into her hand.

Indiana DOH has dropped isolation standards for students and childcare settings.
The following will take effect Wednesday, Feb. 23:

• Schools no longer will be required to conduct contact tracing or report positive cases to IDOH.

There were a number of times when my nose ran (kind of prone to it in winter when I go from the cold outside to a warm building) and I had to wipe it.
What was I to do?
If my nose was running, I had to pull down the mask to wipe it.

True. I always had extras. My nose runs when cold or massive weather changes (today 50s with storms and snow on the way). If my mask got bad, I'd swap it. But a little cough wouldn't be bad. My grandfather used to cough into a handkerchief and they can take some.

When a kid in the show had a bloody nose I went off to help her clean up and gave her one of my dozens of spares. My kid even has half a dozen in his backpack.

Depends on how you do it, if you pull it down and don’t cover your mouth it defeats the purpose, if you sneeze into your hand or arm it’s probably doing a much better job of preventing germs from spreading into the air than the average mask would have. I always cough and sneeze into my shoulder, keeps my hands free of germs.

I often work in a casino concert venue and it drove me crazy when people would pull down their mask to yell over the music, that’s one time it was really needed. More than once I’ve used hand sanitizer on my face after being covered in screaming spittle. That’s one thing I will miss about masks, that and decreasing the smell of cigarette smoke… that’s probably it though.

I did and still do. More than one spare too.
