Actually, the mRNA vaccines produce immunity to the entire spike protein not just part. And natural immunity does the same thing (hopefully) but sometimes your body can form an antibody to another part of the virus. These aren’t nearly as effective because when an antibody binds to the spike protein it not only tags the virus or the infected cell for the immune system to destroy, by binding on the spike protein it prevents it from functioning and infecting other cells. That may not be true if it binds to something else. Natural immunity has the same if not worse issues with the new varients. To bad when it comes to covid your statistics backs up natural immunity. Not only that but natural immunity covers more than just certain aspects of the spike protein, unlike with the vaccines if a covid varrient changes to much then it will render the original vaccines ineffective. This has been the case with the evolution from the original strand for which the vaccines were created for to then Delta for which the vaccines didn't protect as much and now for Omicron it will protect even to a lesser extent.
It is?Kinda weird considering they expect omicron to peak before the end of January. If not sooner.
I didn’t look at Florida specifically. Maybe the info I saw was for the US in general or the northern states? I need to relook.
Universal in the next 2 weeks will have a new president and COO. Bill Davis is resigning Jan 1st. when his Universal Studios Hollywood counterpart is in. Additionally this was rumored back stage and I think New York forced their hand at Florida's 20194 cases yesterday.Honestly not surprised over Universal. I was surprised they hadn’t yet.
With the caveat that hospitalizations and deaths are about half of what they were a year ago, this is obviously not a time to play fast and loose with masks. Everyone should be wearing them indoors for the next couple months (at least).
SeaWorld has not updated their guidance yet.Florida not only reported 20,194 new cases but a new average of 10,770 cases per day. That is 50 cases per 100k. It is about time Universal added the new indoor mask requirement. It is obvious they didn't care about the health of their customers only making money. The WDW requirement was helpful but I and many others wore masks outside for foreworks in November. I try take steps to protect myself and loved ones.
I think they should go ahead and shut down on the 2nd so we can get a full refund and roll our points over againMy prediction is Disney, Universal, and the US theme parks will be closed again by January 10.
Then they dont care about their customers either. There is no excuse with these crazy numbers not to require some additional protection. Private companies have the legal right and responsibility to try and protect their customers and employees Guests owe it to the cast members and team members to help.SeaWorld has not updated their guidance yet.
Tell that to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.Private companies have the legal right and responsibility to try and protect their customers and employees
WDW has been requiring indoor masks and DeSantis has done nothing about it. He can't because WDW themeparks are private property. Any business that doesn't require masks indoors will not get my business. The numbers are just too high. It is one thing when the rate is 6 per 100k but anything over 20 is when I get concerned.Tell that to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
My prediction is Disney, Universal, and the US theme parks will be closed again by January 10.
I don’t think they’ll close anywhere, but the first time US Disney parks closed they did so on their own terms. The states never actually forced them to shut down.California parks maybe, but I doubt it will happen in Florida.
That’s because the omicron variant is infecting EVERYONE. Don’t worry. It’ll stop by your neck of the woods soon too.New York City reported 17,221 cases alone today. I think it’s about time they take the virus seriously and impose a mask mandate and vaccine passport……….
Oh wait….
But why aren’t masks working? That’s because the omicron variant is infecting EVERYONE. Don’t worry. It’ll stop by your neck of the woods soon too.
