Haunted Mansion or any slow moving ride, empty building, all alone, no sound, not even one CM, could you do it?

I had a strange dream a few nights ago I rode the Haunted Mansion, no people, no Cast Members, ride was shut off except for the Omnimover, no one up front and I was creeped out, every once in a while the ride would stop and a voice would come on but it was fuzzy mind you no one was operating it. Now on a normal day the ride doesn’t scare me it’s just fun, but if I had to ride it alone in the building with no sound or moving sets I don’t think I’d make it thru. With that Spaceship Earth may be

Taking melatonin on a regular basis will give one far more intense dreams than this one.

Yeah, no prob... though I just remembered I'm a minority and I'm more likely to die first in a horror movie situation... sooooo... maybe not.

Love when that happens. Had it happen on the Haunted Mansion several times, but one of the most memorable ride stops was 15 minutes on Man in Black.

Oh I’d love it. The best scare comes when you’re by yourself with no one else there for you to feed off of their courage. A dark setting with nothing to distract you… let your imagination run wild about who or what’s there, all the possibilities….then the voice cuts in. I love the scare, so I’d welcome the eerie setting.

I like fantasy as much as the next person, but I have this unfortunate trait in that my reality generator is stronger then my fantasy acceptance gene. It is a burden sometimes because I see others get all emotional about, lets say, a football game on TV, jump up and down, scream at the screen, swear, slam their fist into the nearest item. I cannot. My body (i.e. brain) won't let me. There are times that I envy people that have that degree of seemingly uncontrolled emotion because it seem like a good release, but something just won't let me ever get that upset or joyous about anything. I can practice suspension of disbelief with the best of them, but only if it is a concentrated effort on my part. When it get to be to much of a detour from reality, the generator kicks in. What you are asking about would not get past the reality register so I don't think I would have a problem with a lone ride through.

I don't know about Haunted Mansion, but one time the sound went off on Splash and I'll be honest, it was pretty boring with no sound. But, I love ALL the slow boat/omnimover rides. Haunted Mansion is probably my favorite.

Haha trippy question.

One time my family and I got stuck on Pirates for like 40 minutes and they eventually turned on the lights, stopped the music, and all the figures kept moving. You could see the chicken going round on their support poles and it was funny and kinda creepy....

Of course. It's just a building with props and such. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE a creepy atmosphere. Halloween is my favorite holiday and I set up an extremely creepy display both inside and out not only for kids, but because I love the dark, creepy atmosphere and sense of danger despite it obviously being perfectly safe. I'm extremely logical, so I don't find being in an empty building creepy. That's not to say I wouldn't get freaked out in a creepy old home if unexplainable things occurred. I'm not saying I explain everything away, but at face value being in a show building in Disney while really fun IMO, would not creep me out. That said, you didn't mention any supernatural things occurring. A disembodied voice always happens in the HM, so that's not scary. 😁

Now, put me in this scenario from the movie Lights Out... yeah, I think I pee my pants... 🤣

Yes, I would love to do that. No flash photography or video lighting, bliss.

I have done Tower of Terror as the only person on it and I have to say that it was actually very creepy.

Wow - you just pulled a faded memory out: I went to see a matinee of Poltergeist II (I must have been 11 at the time). I sat in the middle of the theater and soon realized I was the only one there. As the movie progressed, I remember moving closer and closer to the doors. Julian Beck is a scary man!
