Mayor Demings has announced he is allowing the local State of Emergency order for Orange County to expire this afternoon.

Demings says it will be up to employers on how they want to keep their patrons and workers safe.

Demings also says he will continue to require county employees to wear facial coverings indoors until the CDC moves Orange County from substantial risk to moderate.

Is this a change to the status quo?
In the fantasy world that the Mayor has been living in, it's a change. In the actual legal sense, nothing has changed because nothing he has said or ordered has been enforceable for months.

That's a stretch of the imagination , - nothing has changed.

I think the transportation is Disney transportation and yes Disney can control that.
I don't think you're right.

The CDC Order, consistent with the mandate in Executive Order 13998 to implement additional measures to protect public health in domestic travel, requires a mask to be worn by any operator or passenger traveling on a conveyance within the United States, unless otherwise exempted. Conveyances include all road vehicles (subject to certain exceptions, e.g., for private conveyances operated solely for personal, non-commercial use), including charter buses, buses operating on irregular routes, and buses operated by private motor carriers of passengers.[2]

Side note. How many school districts you think are not following this order on their school buses? Lol

They’re not required on buses at Universal.

Irrelevant. The question is if Disney wants to follow the order. Places that really want to follow mask rules frequently have a supply of complimentary surgical masks to be given to customers who forget to bring a mask.

That’s why I said it was a side note. Of course it’s irrelevant when it comes to disney. I was just making a comment about the order.

the current Covid numbers look great in Florida as compare the rest of the country.
That's what happens when nearly 20% of the state has had a reported case, probably another 10-20% with an unreported case, and the rest mostly vaccinated.

It's easy to look at current Florida numbers and think something good happened in this state. July and August were absolute trainwrecks.

Floridas vaccination rates also skyrocketed due to the Delta wave, Floridas vaccination rate is almost identical to Ca now.

How is it possible for you to ride every bus in your fully vaccinated town to know that every kid is wearing a mask for the entire trip?
What's with this? Seriously I don't follow where you got my city (don't live in a town if one is going to be pedantic) is fully vaccinated. We aren't. We're about 80% for the city who is eligible. I'm talking mandates as well. Since people in my state are not following the federal mandate, I can say with ease when I know those in my area are. It's regional for sure even in my own state.
