I know, there's this sense of... vigor that hasn't been felt since before Episode I. Hopefully, it's not deja vu all over again.

Yeah....I have a feeling I am going to take about 3 or 4 on that first day.Take one Episode 7 and schedule a follow up appointment for 12/19/2015.
Same here. I have a standing order at work that I get a day off for Star Wars premieres.I will be going at least 3 times on the first day, Midnight showing will be a must

JJ said at the last convention it was a ways off unfortunately. It sounds like we will have a couple months to go. I hope its sooner than that as I absolutely can't wait for this. Just like @Master Yoda, I'm pretty sure I am way more excited for this movie than I should be.

JJ Abrams has outright stated that no new footage will be shown at D23. Sorry folks.

Lucus is not directing. He managed to make many Award winning actors look like they had no idea how to act at all in those films. Even in the original trilogy the actors argued with him over the bad dialogue some even refused to say it and just changed their lines. Ford has several instances of this on the record. Natalie Portman said the most common direction she heard was to speed up the dialogue. "That was good now do it faster".One snippet from page 2 of that article jumped out at me concerning Kylo's character:
This just brings out awful deja-vu of Hayden Christensen's performance of Anakin, who too was "full of emotion".
Let's just hope we're not going down that route again.
