My mom always told me about her teachers who would dig a knuckle into your back if you were slouching.

We got a rap on our knuckles with the teacher's ruler, if we misbehaved.

When it's just me and his buddies around showering is optional. For school showered, deodorant, cool clothes, hair brushed, he even powders his feet so they don't smell

If you think that's fast, wait until your grandchildren start doing the same thing. Talk about aging you! I can't help thinking that in spite of the odds being fairly small, it is possible at this point to be a Great Grandparent. I already am a great grandparent, however, I don't need that kind at all.

I love Chicago to visit, so much to do. We will sometimes Stay-Vacation there.

Chicago is great! Really good pizza. It's a fun place, I had an aunt and uncle that lived in Downer's Grove, years ago. I loved visiting them and "go into the city". Great memories for me.

I feel the same way with our grandkids, the oldest is almost as tall as I am , and the youngest has grown a lot this summer. I have their baby pictures out, and I can remember so clearly those baby days.

I had this really large woman, with a very short temper in the first grade. Even my Mom commented about her large size. We also had corporal punishment for really bad behavior. The principal had a whipping board in his office. Back then, you didn't have to get parent's permission to spank a kid with the wooden paddle. Those were the days....not!

All I can say is... good luck with that! The only way I was able to not go over the edge when my girls gave birth to their own, was that they both told me that they were virgin births. I thought it a long shot, but, was willing to accept it. Heck, I remember reading someplace that it happened before.

I think it would be cool to spend the night in one of those aquarium tunnels, but it would be a little scary too. Plus unless there was a cot or blow up mattress I wouldn't want to sleep on the floor even in a sleeping bad, I'm too old for that.

Yes, someone would have to pry me off the floor.

My personal trimumpf yesterday was I finished and hung all 3 rooms of drapes for my DDs apartment.

Did I remember to take pictures.....No.

Getting take out. This practically never happens.

Now, Chinese or Italian? Decisions, decisions...

I know you have had your take out , if it were me...I'd always choose Chinese. I love the use of ginger and hot spices.

Been following that IL story about the 3 officers. Just today in MA, there was a police officer driving along a road in his cruiser, and was shot at random, by a guy in a pickup truck. Cop crashed into a tree and the cruiser went up in flames. He was rescued and rushed to a local hospital; no report yet on his condition. There's a manhunt going on now in MA. I don't know what this world is coming to.

The person in Colorado that was randomly shooting people driving on the interstate is at it again, or a copy cat. Three people were shot at last night. I think it is a copy cat, as this person is using a pellet gun. And the other person, used a rifle. Another possibility, is that he changed his MO , so to not get caught. It is a crazy world we live in.
