Yah, clearly the two teenagers I saw (with the smartphones) in church had about zero desire to be there. I can understand that, but my issue with them and their mother, was that if you are there in church, BE there. Otherwise, leave, or just don't go at all. (And believe me, I'm way down the bottom of the list when it comes to be holy, myself. However, if I make the decision to go to church, I show respect to the priest and other parishioners. I figure even I can behave for 45 minutes or so . . .)
reminds me of that cartoon about an hypocrite woman.
Who claimed to be a good religious person.
But outside church, she refused to donate, to help, insulted their neighbours and other religions.. but felt so holy for attending church! :hilarious:

I think actions are more representative of what a real religious person is, than just going to the church AND PRETEND to be religious.

O.k I'm outta here--gotta run to the ATM for moolah, and then to the bus and train.

@donaldtoo , after seeing another mansion you're working on at your job, I was just curious--do architects still do something called charretting? (I probably spelled that wrong.) Many years ago I worked at a graduate school for architects, etc., and they would all be cutting up a certain type of cardboard with special sharp blades and creating these models of buildings, etc. Has all that been replaced now by 3D printers?

Yes, we do indeed still do charretting... ;)

We used to build actual models years ago, but, haven't in about a decade.

Now they're all built with a 3-D program called SketchUp, that you saw the pics of in my post last night. Then, they're taken into a rendering program called Piranesi, and they turn out looking like this... :)

THNX it's looking like break even with the 2016 trip and we'll come out ahead for the May 2017 trip for the TIL. My boys can easily spend $100 on shirts alone so between that and not paying for parking at least one AP is starting to work money wise. By the time we get there we'll have a good idea of how many days we'll be there 2017, that will determine if we upgrade my ticket as well.
I think if you're planning on going within 12 months of your last trip, as long as both trips have 10 or more park days, definitely gets APs for whoever is going on both trips. You don't have to decide for sure though until before you use the last day on your pass. You just have to upgrade before that last day is used. :)

So the following just happened...

It was after class, and my phone, which I forgot to put on vibrate, goes off as I'm talking to two of my professors about an assignment. And my text tone isn't one of those ones that you barely hear (Because otherwise I'd never answer texts). No. It's R2D2 beeping. Three texts. I apologize to the professors (who thought it was more funny than anything). And then, I look and it's my friend. She mistakenly texted me when she meant to text her sister. That was the friend I had made plans with for Monday inviting her sister (which I'm completely okay with). The mistaken text says, "Oh, I could pick you up from school..." And then I remind my friend that no one has school on Monday. And she says, "I'm really having a blonde moment here." I tell her it's alright, I have those and I'm not even blonde.:hilarious:

My brother would have benefited for such change.
He watched himself in EVERY MIRROR before going out to a party (almost daily).

so.. on his way to the party:
  1. He seen himself on the bathroom mirror.
  2. My room mirror.
  3. The elevator's mirror.
  4. The Car's side mirror.
  5. The car's center rearview mirror.
  6. The car side mirror again
  7. the disco bathroom mirror.
  8. the bar mirror.
:hilarious:
He must be related to my step sister, she's the same way:banghead:

@catmom46 , I think your pictures are GREAT!!  I can't get over how pretty Disneyland looks. So happy you took these pictures and shared them. It's always good to see other people's pictures, because everyone notices something different, and that really adds to the fun! More please!!! :joyfull:

Thank you for the compliment! And I'm happy to keep sharing. It's definitely a different experience going solo, one that I really enjoyed and look forward to this coming year. I actually get to notice things and take time to look around, rather than focusing on what DD is doing or needs. :)

We always do TIL, I think the cost is around 125.00$. We use it for TS restaurants, and resort meals. We don't do a lot of sit down restaurants, so we break even after one trip (around 10 days), then we come out ahead for the second trip. The AP gets you discounts on merchandize, so we like getting that, as well, because if you do take another trip within the next year, you don't end up buying another set of tickets to the park. Hope this helps @figmentfan423. xoxo I just realized you found your information. Sorry..
THNX it all helps! As of now we're ahead upgrading my dh's ticket to AP and TIW will depend on how many ADRs on it we book. If on the no kids trip we don't go over 4 days it's a push to upgrade mine depending on the price increase before we leave. I'll just keep an eye on things.

Tables in Wonderland is great. But either you or your DH needs to get the AP if you're going to do that. You have to be over 21 to get TIW.

The card itself is $100. So factor that in. It's a 20% discount at many locations. A list can be found at TablesInWonderland.com.

We love it and we always save a lot of money with it. But we go on more than one trip per year. You'll have to run the numbers a bit more carefully.

As an added bonus, the APs offer a 10% discount at most merchandise locations. So think about all of it. :)
I still do not apply :(

Very nice but I'd never like to do that much cleaning! I'd have to take my boys to Disney once a month just to get them to help me, no thanks!

Sketchup is very useful... and if I remember.. it is free (by google).

Helps a lot for those who wants to draw perspective!
