I absolutely agree. I was just commenting in jest. And we can ALWAYS be thankful it's not worse...A wreck to me would be if they painted the hub to look like this:
(No idea where that wreck is )
Think of this as spring cleaning. The nature of construction is that it has to get worse before it can look better.
The Partners statue has been unboxed for a few weeks....Huzah for relevant photos! Anyone remember how long the back section of center took? Going the last week in May & hoping Partners will be back out of it's box...if only for my friend who has never been.
Never mind sorry I just went back and saw thats its been reboxed. The Partners statue has been unboxed for a few weeks....
Not for too long. Getting towards the home stretch. And in other news the hub is a wreck...
Why are Walt and Mickey behind walls again? For some reason I thought that area was done.Second turret is in...View attachment 90122 And in other news the hub is a wreck...

The other two planters that were removed are being rebuilt now as well as any repaving that needs to be completed. Why are Walt and Mickey behind walls again? For some reason I thought that area was done.
I think they took a week and half (or a little more ) to build the planters. If I remember correctly, the North half of the central hub didn't take very long, so hopefully the South half is just as speedy. It'll be SO nice when the central portion of the hub is all the new concrete, rails, planters, and tiny trees (but trees none the less). I can't wait!
FYI, the brown/beige color scheme (not the multi-colored theme we see now) was part of Epcot in the 80s.A wreck to me would be if they painted the hub to look like this:

And how much better it looked. Classy, subtle and uniform.FYI, the brown/beige color scheme (not the multi-colored theme we see now) was part of Epcot in the 80s.
Right, that's only the cost of their specific work, and that's only the initial contract amount, not including change orders.Whatever is costing only $700,000 can hardly be that whole project.
Just to be that guy, do you notice that all the colors in that picture blend and don't clash. What a surprise...A wreck to me would be if they painted the hub to look like this:
