But (below) Pluto looks terrified. Please don't hang him so close to the edge again! :jawdrop:

I'm sure that @Mr Ferret 88 appreciates your compliment on his whimsical photos (with the gorgeous scenery in the background). :) He and Mrs. Ferret must have brought a very high quality camera with them on vacation.
I can tell!
I had planned on doing the Fjords/Iceland on DCL next summer. Then opening day came- and the price for me and a 6 year old was over $13k. I quickly changed gears and booked on MSC for next summer instead- UK/ Iceland.

I do not currently have a DSLR, I'm planning on getting an Olympus and a GoPro Hero Session for our western Caribbean DCL cruise this year, but I think a DSLR will be mandatory for Northern Europe in '17!

Day 8 Bergen

Yet another early day (shocker I know). We were breakfasted and in the lounge before 8 as our tour started for quarter past.

First up was a coach trip around the town learning about the history and important facts about the city including the worlds largest electric car charging center (about a dozen charging stations).

The bus dropped us at the base of mount Floen and we boarded the funicular for a scenic trip up the mountain. Once up there we had a scenic view back down over the whole city and surrounding areas including the other 6 mountains that surround the city.

Once our alloted time was up we re-boarded and proceeded back down the mountain to a walking tour of the historic Brygenn area. The guide (Emma) was very informative of this UNESCO world heratige site.

We re-boarded the coach after a short break for shoppping to head back to the boat.We re-boarded for lunch which included corn dog nuggets that tasted exactly the same as casey’s in the Magic Kingdom.

We left the boat for the afternoon and took a long walk around the city taking in a lake we had seen from the mountain and found an underpass that led us into a shopping mall that we had not realised was there. There was a lovely local coffee shop so it seemed rude not to try it. We took our drinks and meandered slowly back past the other side of the lake.We slowly made our way back to the ship through a pedestrianised shopping area browsing at the different shops on the way. The way back also took us through an historic fort.We would have loved to have stayed out longer but the temperature was up to 27dg and it was getting uncomfortable .

We cooled off back at the ship by watching the Jungle Book 3d. This is a fantastic film and has gone on our must have list when it comes out on bluray.

We got changed before the evening show which was Twice charmed the musical.

Tonights dinner was back at Lumieres.

We had,

Starter,

D.Jalsberg tart

M.Duke of Wesseltons favourite (mixed meat platter)

Main,

D.Rosemary marinated striploin

M. Veal loin ( Donna tried some as well but wasn’t taken with it)

Dessert,

D.Warm apple pudding cake

M. Sweet temptation sampler trio.

After Dinner it was up to deck 10 to watch the Feezing the night away party. This was okay but didn’t seem to appeal to as many people as the pirate nights have seemed to ( according to fellow more frequent cruisers)

A slow meander back to the stateroom saw us turn in for the night.
