Anyone have any stories about rude guests getting their "just desserts"

I was outside the Aloha Isle waiting to order a Dole Whip Float when a VERY angry man cut into the front of the line next to mine and skipping over 5-6 folks. This guy was yelling and screaming about nothing in particular...he was jumping up and down and stomping his feet!! That guy was so angry he was as red as a beet...

So the CM asked to take the next guest's order and this angry guy yells at the top of his lungs: "I just want a Dole Whip Float!!!" The CM responded by questioning "Is that it???" And the guy yelled back "Yes!!!" and threw money at the CM.

The CM took his money and gave him a Dole Whip Float.

That was the one time a saw a very angry and rude guy get just dessert.

my 2 cents...

dave

And apparently the CM kept the change. :D

Last trip, an older guy was smoking away, flicking his ashes. I pointed out that he was in a no-smoking area as politely as I could. He responded with a smart remark. Normally, he'd be eating his cigarette after that. But, this being Disney, I behave myself. I pointed out the nearest smoking area. He ignores me. A cast member head for him. He quickly palms the cigarette and extinguishes it as the castmember politely tells him that this is a no smoking zone and points out the smoking area. The guy now starts yelling at the castmember, calling him a liar, shows the now extinguished butt and then starts getting in his face. The castmember does not lose his cool. He merely indicates that if the guy wants to smoke he must do it in the smoking zone. The guy starts in on the castmember accusing him of calling HIM a liar. At this point I step in point out that he IS indeed a liar, that we all saw you smoking and that I had asked you twice to stop. I then ask why he is so childish to LIE about what he was doing. No one was going to arrest you or throw you out. You are just being asked to move. The guy just stares at me. The castmember smiles at me. The guy walks away muttering. The castmember says thanks. He then picks up the discarded but and tosses it out. Castmembers rule.

That's why if/when I ever build my amusement park, all of our security guards will receive Krav Maga instruction.

I'm not sure if this really relates to this or not but I live in a family with 5 kids (including myself) and it annoys me when I'm at character dining and another family comes up to your table. There is always some foreign kid (or family) rushing up to the table screaming "PLUTO! PLUTO!" or "MICKEY! MICKEY!" and you can never have them to yourselves.

My brother and I are always saying that people should know the rules of character dining.

THE CHARACTERS COME TO YOU.

Oh and another pet peeve of mine is when you see people in wheel chairs who you know don't need to be in them and are in them just to get special assistance. I hate people like that.
We were eating at Crystal Palace a couple of years ago and the parents at the table behind us were telling their kids to chase Tigger down after he left their table, Tigger was trying to sign my daughters book and the parents just kept it up "pull Tigger's tail" "get Tigger", no one was stopping them so I turned around and told the dad it was my daughters turn with Tigger and if they wanted another turn they would have to sit down and wait for him to come back around. The dad just stared at me and continued to yell " pull Tiggers tail. Finally when the kids would not go away so we could even get a picture of my daughter Tigger just politely pushed both of the kids under our table so we could get a picture without these kids in it.

Thats a shame that a CM would get into trouble for doing their job and trying to make the rest of us enjoy our time there.

And unfortunately a few CM's take their authority to ridiculous levels. I guess that's why CM's can get in trouble for enforcing rules.

This got bumped up out of nowhere.

Sure did. It showed up in my email and I was like "Well, that sounds like an interesting thread.........oh that I started 6 years ago." :)

Eh, just one of those things. If we're not faulting people for not doing a search on a topic, we're on people for using the search and contributing to a thread without checking the born-on date. :D

I would like to hear some stories of guests getting their just desserts for rude, obnoxious, rule-breaking behavior.

Here's mine:

A Brazilian group tried to break through the RnRC line from the back. They just came barrelling through shoving. They made it to the DW and I and a few other guests and we grabbed up the 2 lead people by the scruff of the neck and yelled "No more...back!" They struggled to break free but other guests started blocking them and then shoving their whole group back. Basically all of the guests cooperated in shoving this group of 20 or so all the way back to the brick wall at which a CM further ushered them back through the doors and closed them. Oh it was great to hear them hoot and holler as they were ushered away and closed off behind the door. Oh, then we all laughed and laughed, and it was like 250 gringos laughing and whistling and carrying on all happily.:sohappy:

I never see such excitement while I'm in the kingdom. But then again, I've learned to go in June for two main reasons 1) not as hot as in July and 2) those pesky Brazilians. Still, I can't imagine you grabbing them and no fights breaking out.

A few years ago, I was riding the monorail with my wife and three kids. At one stop a group of four people sat down across from us. It quickly became clear that this was a mother, father, teenage son, and the son's girlfriend. The son was carrying a can of soda and when he finished it, he thought he would be cool and impress his girlfriend by crushing the can. He then put the crushed can on the seat, clearly planning to leave it there. His father saw the whole thing and clearly didn't see a problem with leaving the can on the seat.

At the next stop, they began to get off. In the most polite voice I could find I said to the son "Excuse me sir, I believe you forgot something." When he gave me a confused look, I motioned to the crushed can. He gave me a nasty stare, but I just smiled back. He looked to his father for support, got none, and then returned to the seat to get the can which he deposited in the nearest trash can.

I'm glad you said something. I would have too. I hate litterbugs, so tacky!

So to continue with the "just desserts" theme. :) While not at WDW, this person got what he deserved. We were at the Grand Californian at DL enjoying the pool. A "guest" was yelling at a CM because his alcoholic beverage had not arrived in a timely fashion. She tried to explain that they were very busy, and that he should be receiving his soon, but he was having none of it. He actually threatened her physically right in front of us (we were standing only a few feet away). She was literally in tears over this. Her supervisor saw what was happening and called security. They asked what had been said. We told them, and he was immediately escorted out of the area, and we found out later that he had been removed from the hotel. We tried to console the CM as best we could. Oh, and we received a few free beverages for a thank you! So not only did he get his just desserts, we got ours as well! :D

I'm assuming the beverages you received were the exact ones he was waiting on. Please don't correct me.

Well what was funny was that ALL of the Americans had had enough and took action as one impressive unit, which you rarely see. But, they were just trampling people from behind so there were a lot of folks who had already been wronged by them. Those kids could not believe what was happening to them. They were astonished at being treated so rudely and you could see the absolute shock on their faces as they pointed to their friends who had gotten by and couldn't fathom how we were stopping them and couldn't understand that they just wanted to be with their friends.

Ok I have one.....

While back when Goofys Candy Company was called "The Gourment Pantry" about 10 years ago.

It was typical July day with lots and lots of rain. Standing in line waiting to get a chocolate covered rice crispy treat.Behind me was a guy from Chicago waiting in line for some goodies. Then out of nowhere this guy from England butts right in front of the guy behind me. Now the guy from Chicago gets mad and says for him to move. The guy from England says no.

Now at this point the guy from Chicago is calling this guy everything in the world and even brought up us winning the war for Independance. I looked back at him and told him if he thinks about butting me hes gonna get a rice crispy treat shoved in a "not so magical place".

So anyway we get our stuff and walk to the corner and start to eat our stuff. The guy from England gets to the counter and orders his stuff.

He pays and as walking out to the door looks back at the guy from Chicago and says "mmmm this is gonna be soooo good"

As he says that he takes a bite and walks outside and slipped and fell right in a puddle on his back and destroyed his tart.
That is so awesome it's magical!!!

It really is too bad this thread was revived. Not liking the vilification of the Brazilians. I must say that I have been going to WDW for many years and I have yet to encounter these Brazilian groups. I'm not saying that rude, obnoxious people don't exist, I've encountered my share at Disney, too...it just bothers me when a whole culture is painted with a very negative paintbrush.
Last summer I was eating in restaurant in Yarmouth, MA. when a bus filled with Brazilian tourists pulled in. These people came in, sat down, ordered their food - they ate and laughed and appeared to have a good time just like anyone on vacation would.

The OP seems to recount the vilification earned by a tour group, who happened to be from Brazil, not of individual Brazilians. The other posters seem to have encountered similar problems with tour groups, some of which seem to have come from Brazil. Doesn't seem like a culture is being painted, maybe a recurring problem with tour groups or any crowds that flaunt polite behavior at a place where many are trying to enjoy their own vacations without rudeness.

Anyway, here's one I've shared before, and it actually involves a family member, so I'm not sure if it counts, but I love it too much.

Anyway, my mom, sister, and I are having breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. While mom is getting food, Alice comes over to our table. She gets a picture with my sister, then comes over for my turn. She starts to suggest a picture. "You look like you're a curious sort, like you read many books and do a good deal of thinking..."

My sister interrupts with, "Yeah, he's a nerd."*

Alice immediately turns on my sister. "Well that's a terribly rude thing to say! I for one read a great many books and do a great deal of thinking and I would never refer to myself as a nerd!" Back to me, she says, "She's quite mad, isn't she? She'd best be careful, or the Queen will take her head!"

So, we get our picture taken doing a thoughtful pose, all the while I'm trying not to bust up laughing at my sister getting her comeuppance (as she was a bit difficult at times on this trip, though I'll spare you the details). After Alice left, I just looked at her and said, "Oh, man, you got scolded by Alice."

*It's a fair cop, considering I brought 20-sided dice on this trip, just in case, but still....
