Your reaction to seeing a long lost favorite attraction, how would you loose your cool?

Whether its Spectromagic to Horizons what would your reaction be to being there or seeing that attraction once again in person. I would personally dork out and loose my cool. What would you do, keep a straight face, go nuts like a little kid, dork out moment or just ball out. I still remember seeing Spectromagic for the first time in 2002 after thinking it was gone for good and having no idea it was back. I almost jumped out of my skin. Seeing Lasers in Illuminations which used to be my favorite thing was another one for me. I disappeared to Epcot 5 times in one week just to see Illuminations. So how would you loose your cool?

Yes
I had a similar parade experience to you, but with the MSEP. I wasn't nearly into MK in 2013 as I am now, so I did not know much about the park's current state (at the time) beyond attractions. One night as I was leaving, we get to main street and I notice the Main Street Electrical Parade was coming up the street. I was honestly surprised as I thought that the parade was a long gone part of Disney history by that point. As surprised as I was, I was excited, and from that point on, I saw the parade as many times as I could in the following years. Of course, now it's gone again.

I would like to go on Irons SSE, TT 1.0, Maelstrom, or El Rio del Tiempo one more time though. All of those are pure nostalgia for me.

I liked the old World of Motion part of the ride when it went outside then curved back around to the inside. Not sure I would lose it or freak out to do it again, but it would be cool. Now as for Horizons...yeah, I would, as you say, "dork out and lose my cool."

There's a playlist of music that they used to play leading up to IllumiNations. I have this playlist on my mp3 player, but I never expected to hear it again in Epcot. Well, last year, on the anniversary date of October 1st, they played that music sequence before IllumiNations! I was totally geeking out, just completely enjoying myself. And then, after IllumiNations, they played old tracks from older attractions, like the old theme to the Universe of Energy ("Feel it glow, see it grow, it's the Universe of Energy") and Tomorrow's Child from Spaceship Earth - totally cool!!!

With so many favorites that have disappeared, if I came upon even one, I'd have jaw dropping unbridled joy. Jump up & down, scream with excitement. Then I'd send off a letter of appreciation to the person responsible thanking them for doing something positive.

I'm a nostalgic person and enjoy old/retro things so I would welcome bringing back anything old. Not all of these at once but if one would return these would be my reactions.

If the skyway, Discovery River Boats, toon town, backlot tour with the houses, 20,000 leagues, mickey mania parade, the parade they had for Walt's 100th birthday with snow globe type floats and the tapestry of dreams parade returned I probably would be jumping up and down shouting yay!

I would probably be crying tears of joy & jumping up & down if JII, Mr. Toad, WoM, WoL, Old Test Track & SSE (Irons Version) returned.

As for Horizons I would think it would be the same reaction (crying tears of joy and jumping up in down) but with added screaming and I would probably get too excited and end up having a stroke or heart attack lol as that's one ride I really miss and would bring back if I could pick one. It just means a lot to me. I think I would have the same reaction if 80s/early 90s EPCOT Center would return too.

Horizions would = too much feels. I'd probably cry happy tears.

On a different note: This past October we went to Epcot F&W for the first time ever. One of the biggest highlights of the trip for me was going into the old Wonders of Life pavilion the first time since 1998. I forgot all about how the place looked inside and it was awesome to see the huge dome ceiling, the built in planters, the little theater, the restaurant area etc.. That really was a good ol shot of Epcot nostalgia!

Totally dork out over ... oringial Imangation, World Of Motion, Horizons, 20,000 Leagues, Food Rocks, and the old behind the scenes tour that used to be in inventions, I can't remember the name of it, but it had a segment with Mr Egg, or whatever his name was

The biggest thing for me would be the Christmas decorations Epcot use to have as you walked between future world toward world showcase. Since they stopped using that canopy it just looks a little sad during the holidays compared to the other parks. If I saw 20000 leagues under the sea I'd run away screaming lol...it's where I learned about claustrophobia and motion sickness all in one spot. Monsanto Circle vision was fun...sorta like soarin without the seats. And I loved If you had wings but back then we didn't fly much...now the ride would have to add tsa screening to make it realistic lol. Basically, I've been going to wdw since Oct 1, 1972 and while I miss certain things about the parks I like that they keep evolving otherwise I wouldn't still be going all these years later.

This was called the Lights of Winter, and was one of my favorite things about Christmas in WDW. The story was that the controller blew out, and it was so old that there was no way to fix it. I am in the show services industry, which gives me a pretty good working knowledge of sound, lights, lasers, projection - the whole thing. And this is just pure bunk. They could have had the controller repaired. Or they could have updated the entire thing with new lights and a new controller. The only reason the Lights of Winter aren't there any more is because Disney made the decision to NOT fix it. Whether that's because they were too cheap or just didn't want to bother with it, I can't say.

Seeing the original Test Track would make me so happy. To be honest though the thing I want to see most isn't even an attraction or parade, it's the original Main Street Bakery. Not the Starbucks junk it is now, but when there were tables inside and lots and lots of sweets to choose from.
