Good Evening People. I just got a e -mail tonight from a friend who has booked a vacation to WDW this year.He has been before years ago, but now is going with wife & child ( 5 year old ) Now apart from character meals ( he is looking into them ) what restaurant would you recommend for a 5 year old boy...I suggested T- Rex off the top of head, but is there any other I may have missed..other than character..??? Cheers.;)

Out of the 'fun' non-character meals, my girls enjoyed 50s the most. They didn't really get into 'Ohana or WCC. We're going to try and pop into SciFi this fall for some milk shakes to see how that sits with them. A friend of mine also gave high marks to Sanaa for the animal entertainment factor. We haven't done it, but the style of dining at Teppan Edo is usually pretty entertaining to kids and lots of kids enjoy Coral Reef.

The real shocker...DD6's fave meal of her 5th birthday trip was Cali Grill. We had a nice view of MK and the meal worked out so that we were being served dessert just as Wishes started. She thought it was magical...an amazing server helped as well.

While not quite as formal, Beaches & Cream also ranks high with the kids.

I don't have kids myself but I do have a bunch of Niece and Nephews so I kinda have an idea of what they like

MK - Be Our Guest, Cosmic Ray's, Tortuga Tavern

Epcot - Coral Reef, Garden Grill, San Angel Inn, Teppan Edo

DHS - Backlot Express, Min and Bill's Dockside Diner, Sci-Fi Dine-In,

DAK - Rainforest Cafe, RestaurantoSaurus

DTD - Rainforest Cafe, T-Rex

Boardwalk - Beaches and Cream (Y&BCR), The Fountain (Dolphin), Garden Grove (Swan)

Resorts - Narcoossee's (GFR), Ohana(Poly), Sanaa (AKL-KV), Trail's End (FW), Whispering Canyon Cafe (WL)

We need time for things to happen.
Couldn't agree more!!!! I'll let my kids play in there while one of us is watching them (drawer of the short straw) But I won't let them eat there!

I third that. Honestly I could go into the frozen isle of my supermarket blindfolded and pick any frozen pizza and know that it would taste better than Pizza Planet pizza.
