Now I'am sure I speak for many here, but for myself, after enjoying a lovely meal,I do enjoy a nice drink with a view..Up until last year my favourite was Rosé & Crown just before illuminations..We had a very nice meal at a table by the waters edge ( thanks to John,a CM & close friend from Scotland )?And as we sat back with a nice bottle ( our 2nd ) of chilled Chardonnay, the lights dimmed and the show began..I didn't think it could be beaten. But after last years dinner at Cali Grill which was awesome,we took our drinks outside to the viewing platform and watched " Wishes "... The WoW factor kicked in right away. The warm evening breeze, the fragrance of Mrs Hatters perfume,my glass ( large ) of Cabernet Sauvignon,The music & commentary piped onto the roof top..What a view and what an end to a great evening..:).So where is your favourite viewing spot to enjoy your drink.?;)

I like to sit with a glass of wine by the water side of Italy. But my favorite would be a large Octoberfest beer at the Biergarten with a plate full of German food and watching the polk band!
Yes to the wine..No to the German beer..Maybe a little food..But if the Polk band sounds anything like the Polka band ( Oompa Oompa ) Then I'am off to Italy for more wine..;)

For non-drinkipoos - Sitting on the ledge by the spitting camel watching the people jump and enjoying a dole whip. For realy drinkipoos - UK pavillion, late afternoon, early evening. Either by waters edge or in the gardens. :)

There are several *special places* we enjoy sitting down, and relaxing. Our fav is Rose n Crown, watching Illuminations but we love grabbing a pint, and sitting in the UK area (near where the band plays). We do love sitting on our balcony at the end of a wonderful Disney day, sipping wine, feet up and taking it all in.

I know I am in the minority but we were underwhelmed by Wishes as viewed from Cali Grill. Perhaps it is all the gushing that goes on over this venue that "over built" our expectations but honestly the perspective when you view it so far off to the side and from so far away really kind of was a buzzkill for us. It was worth doing once to check it off the old bucket list but I doubt if we would go to the trouble again. We wanted to do Wishes Desert Party for our trip in September but Disney's inconsistent policy on when those ressies open got old and I got tired of calling all the time only to be told they had nothing open yet for our dates and no idea when they would become available.

Our favorites for after dinner drinks are R&C on the patio and San Angel Inn. I know there are many who dislike SAI but the dim lighting and ambiance are just great for enjoying an ultimate margarita after a good meal.
