Your Favourite Tequila...

Good Morning,or should I say Beunos Dias..Now I read in today's food blog that La Cava in Epcot are starting to sell personalised engraved tequila glasses..So for all you tequila fans out there,what a unusual souvenir to take home.But here's my question to you all..Which tequila is your favourite at La Cava..Now I know nothing about this golden liquid ( unlike whisky ) but when I was in Tijuana way back in 2001,my brother in law took me into a shop there that sold nothing but Tequila. I was astounded by the varieties available..So here's my fun question..What tequila would you recommend and what name would you get engraved on your tequila glass?

I would have "Figgy" engraved on my glass, starting to think it's actually my Christian name LOl I don't know much about tequila but I do like it in a margarita

I'd opt for a Jose gold tequila ( Thats what Ive got in my liquor cabinet ) and get " Finn " engraved ( nickname Ive had for years )

I don't think the carry Jose Gold there as it is not a true tequila.

I drink Patron silver usually.

Im not a big tequila fan. Honestly, Ive only ordered one margarita in my life and didnt enjoy it. Doesnt mean I dont enjoy my booze, however. But I do have a questions, once you reach about .15 , does the brand of tequila still matter? Have a great day folks!

I prefer smooth blancos. It's really weird, because in almost any other liquid that passes my lips, like whisky or wine, I definitely like that oaky flavor that comes from barrel aging. But with tequila, while a good reposado or añejo is nice, for some reason I like the young stuff more. Herradura is probably my favorite, but I haven't tried a ton.

I've always liked all of the Patron varieties I've tried; however, this bad boy that I had with lunch today...

...is a cucumber margarita made with Hornitos silver. It was quite tasty

I like the anejo personally- love the oakyness. I went to a tequila store in Mexico as well and they just fill ya with free samples! I bought the one with the prettiest bottle LOL!

I don't often drink tequila, not a really big fan of it. When I do have it I like 1800 silver.

Cuervo Gold's real tequila. It's a mixto, but it's still tequila. Yecch, btw.

My favorites are Patron Silver and Corazon Blanco. I don't typically shoot it. I like to savor it, like a cognac.

Like Melissa, I don't care for the flavors imparted by the oak barrels, so I always stick to the silvers/blancos/platas.
