Hi folks, so what is your favourite place in the World???

On my last trip, i loved the peacefulness and atmosphere in The World Showcase as it was opening up! Just sitting around people watching and taking in the beauty of the world showcase was so relaxing and amazing :sohappy:

Anyone else have a quiet spot or, happy place tucked away within the world???

After this past trip, I really have to affirm that there are several.

  • The seats (with yellow umbrellas) outside The Plaza on MSUSA is utterly fantastic for just looking at the Castle, TL, and MSUSA
  • The Poly beach, because it IS Disney. Seeing all of the MK, the Seven Seas Lagoon, GF, CR, it's that moment of "arrival".

  • Future World West. So peaceful, manicured, and downright cool looking
.
  • World Showcase Prominade, by Germany, at Sunset. Truely stunning views of WS and SSE...It's very EPCOT in feeling.
  • Pixar Place! Love the atmosphere there, and the architecture.

Is it wring that I already miss the place?

The area with the yellow umbrellas is great, sat here to have ice cream in july and got some great castle shots :sohappy:

Fell in love with the poly after dinner 1 night in the GF and then made our way to the poly beach to watch wishes, decided on this night that we have to stay at the poly in the near future :sohappy:

The promenade in germany, is this near the snow white meet and greet area?? We came upon this area 1 night and ended up watching ROE 3 times from here, view was amazing and got some great sunset shots of ws lagoon and sse

crush-you have the best threads!

My favorite place...wow! Can 'the whole place' be my answer?

Although of course I love every place at WDW, I guess my favorite place would have to be riding the monorail. I love listening to the narration, and seeing the beautiful site as we drive along. Such a wonderful experience!

Ah man! Too many to list. I'll have to do this by category.

MK: It's a tie between MS: USA and HM.
Epcot: World Showcase. It's truly breathtaking.
AK: Between KS and EE.
DHS: ToT and viewing the Osborn Lights.
Resort: It's a tie between the lobby of the WL and GF.
DTD: AC and Virgin Mega Store :(

Great question, great answers!

I have a couple:

This isn't really a place, but looking down on Tomorrowland from the Peoplemover in the early evening. Always seems so peaceful up there. And it's one of the few places where I can still feel a little of what Walt wanted the world to become ("does not pollute and uses very little power," after all).

Just below Spaceship Earth, looking up. I'm still awed at the sight. And the SSE area music really effects me. Makes me feel hopeful and inspired (a very effective piece of music).

A recent addition would be the Eastern point of the star/compass on the pavement just in front of the Castle Forecourt Stage. It's where I proposed to my wife.

It all depends. I'm the kind of person who likes those chaotic areas. IDK why, just do. It mostly depends on my mood.

I love the anticipation for F! when you have a good seat and the wave is going.

I love EE's queue and seeing the whole mountain from the Africa Bridge.

Walking down Hollywood Blvd.

I LOVE the smell of The Land (!)

The whole Epcot Resort area

If I had to choose one of those, it would be ... walking down Hollywood Blvd! That's the mood I'm at right now :)

Channeling Dave from the old Happiest Celebration on Earth DVD, some of my favorite spots are benches where I can sit, enjoy a snack and people watch.
In the Magic Kingdom the benches on the path into Adventure land are great. At the start of a visit I think that people tend to turn left at the statue. Seeing the excitement on people’s faces as the approach the bridge is always fun.
In Epcot I also like to sit in the UK, either the outdoor dining area by the fish and chips shop or in the garden in the back.

Sitting on the balcony facing the lake/castle in the morning at the Polynesian, or in the hot tub at the Wilderness Lodge. Or on the monorail.

I have several places that I like to relax and take in all the beautiful surroundings...but my absolute favorite has to be at Disney's Animal Kingdom. I like to buy a bar b que pulled pork sandwich at Flame Tree Bar B Que, then go sit way back in the eating area where you can relax, enjoy your meal, and enjoy a wonderful view of the lake and the Expedition Everest ride. You really feel like you're the only ones in the whole park...except for the food begging birds.
