One Little Spark...
Judge my by my Size is my favorite. Note the little light saber she has clipped to her jeans. She had a blast that year.

Sorry she looks upset...this was right after we landed in DC and she found out I was going back to ATL while she was staying in DC with her mother.

maybe this is slightly off track but was anyone else disappointed when Disney.com took over merchandise? the shirts and toys used
to be special in part because you had to go to the parks to get them basically (outside eBay I suppose) now you just go to the site and get whatever they have at the parks. the upside I suppose is you can get little gifts for everyone without wasting time in the parks but meh, I missed the older days

I know what you are saying. It was almost like being in a little Disney 'gang' or something. I can't tell you how many times my wife and I will get comments or a little smile when we are outing shopping or doing something else and are wearing our park merchandise (hoodies, shirts, hats, etc). Conversely, we will give a smile or nod if we are out and see someone else wearing something that we recognize as being directly from WDW. We were out walking this afternoon and saw a car backing out of their driveway with the same Disney sticker family on their back window as we have on ours and looked at each other and smiled.

It truly is a Mickey Mouse Club!! :)

If I saw you on the street wearing it...I'd know exactly where you got it...might even have to mention it. Like whenever I drive past a car with a WDW antenna ball...I want to wave knowingly...like bikers do...
You know, its funny. I'm not sure if its my profession (accountant at a CPA firm) or those I have around me, but I'm surrounded by non-believers. They are SUCH non-believers that I almost feel like I'm a member of some underground sect. I've had co-workers belittle me for wearing clothing with Disney characters, telling me that I'm too old for such things. Their behavior takes me back to the bullies of childhood....so limited in their view and so self-righteous.

I could pay them a visit and beat them up for you...and yes, you are a member of a special group of people who get it.

yeah...it's funny...I remember someone in my family asking me..."why do you go there every year?"..to which I replied..."If you have to ask, you don't understand..." fortunately, my co-worker boss is a Disney fanatic...and those around me know of my love for Disney...but I think they'd be too afraid to make fun of me...

Oh, to be surrounded by fellow fans! I'm jealous. Most of the people around these parts head to the Outer Banks, St. Martin or their vacation home in Maine for vacation. But I can't see taking their vacation every year any more than they can understand mine. ;)

That's what really gets me...a lot of these people who DON'T understand take the same vacation at the same spot every year...only they don't have as many restaraunt options...or live shows...or visual attractions...or waterparks... or fireworks everynight...or hidden wonders... and so much more...

nothing wrong with you Pooh...you just see more than they do...

That is what makes coming to these boards so rewarding! Like-minded people discussing their passion for all things WDW!

I know...keeps you from wondering whether you're just nuts...
me, I'm an artist...so I appreciate the visual splender that is Disney...I think so many people walk through the world (WDW) without really seeing...they should stop and look...

those nay sayers...well, they don't see what you see and probably never will...so it is them that are the poorer for it...how many of them get as excited as we do when we plan a vacation...

Very interesting. I know how visually appealing WDW is and I also know how I tend not to pay attention to it as much as I should. I think that is one of the things about going every year....I am in too much of a rush to get this and that done that I don't stop and appreciate the view. I may try to make a point of appreciating these things more in the future!
