i will join the minority in favor of Blizzard Beach. I've gone every trip to disney (only 4). this summer we went to both BB and TL, and while TL was nice and i think the lazy river is a notch above (maybe its me, but it seemed deeper than BB, though it was harder to come by tubes any time we wanted them), nothing else there had us wanting to do it again. the wave pool was neat, but by the end of the day 3 of the 4 kids ended up wounded from the experience (minor scrapes, even when we held on to them). the slides were OK, the day we were there the coaster was mobbed, and only my nephew could go on yet, so we passed.
one thing i felt, was that its a longer walk from the entrance of TL to the actual water park, as opposed to BB. maybe its just because i've been to one much more than the other...not a major deal.
and i actually dig the winter motif for it, because so many other water parks are either tropically themed, or just left to stand out there as a water park in a hot area. BB is completely different. yes, TL theme is well done, but BB wins me over.
my in laws do splurge for the reserved areas, and this does color my opinion somewhat, but the polar patio is so much better than the cabana area @ TL. the kids enjoyed the sand, but honestly for me half the fun of being at a water park instead of a beach is..no sand. i think having the sand there actually made me feel it was dirtier.
also, BB i know has plenty of little misting sprinkler heads keeping the pavement cool to walk on. i didn't see any at TL. not a tragedy, but a nice touch
my little guy was actually sick that day, so he and i didn't explore the little kids slides, but we enjoy tykes peak at BB...hard to top.
next trip, we all already discussed, TL is a no-go, but BB we would go back to, should we stay long enough to include a water park.
