The chains are all garbage out here in CA. I stick with Target as much as possible.

Most of these choices aren't even in most of the country...that being said having just moved to Tampa, FL from Jersey I have two selections, Publix and Winn-Dixie (well three, but Sweetbay is irrelevant). The closest thing I can find that resembles the selection Shop Rite offered me is Winn-Dixie...Publix are newer, and brighter, but quite frankly inflated price buy one get ones aren't my thing...and they're selection that supposedly caters to the area is clearly just the cheapest supply route items at the highest mark up possible (also creating a whole lot of empty space because they don't carry much selection)...I always think if people think Publix is that great then they haven't really been to a supermarket...
Now I REALLY wish there was a Fairway, that's one supermarket I miss from up north.
