I had the opportunity to go to the Disney Family Museum in San Francisco and it was wonderful to a Disney nerd such as myself. But, what was the most awesome part, to me, was a large display they have of merchandise from the early days. I sort of, might of, left some drool on the glass. 🤣
While not on the same scale the Walt Disney Hometown Museum in Marceline, MO and relevant locations in the community are a great stop. If we end up flying out of KC we try to stop on the way before we fly out or have made separate trips just to the museum.

I just got my first real "collectibles" (things that aren't just souvenirs) in the mail the other day.

I got a huge MK map circa '73-75 for a decent price. Gotta build a frame for it though.

And I got this light-up pin. Originally I woke up early to buy it release day, but in the time it took me to type in my address to checkout, it was sold out of my cart. Had to go to the dreaded scalpers who had it on ebay immediately, but I managed to find someone who was selling for a fair price. Excuse the glare off the plastic, I dont want to unwrap it.

I wouldn't qualify most my WDW stuff as the kind of collectables others are displaying. Much of my collectables are more like the co-pilot cards the monorail drivers used to give out, and only ones I personally received. Somewhere I have a golden fastpass; it was too cool to use! I also have a few non-expire/never fully used park tickets! (I think those are now collectables!) The only Olsewski piece I have is a little Bambi diorama that lights up. (Gallery of Light Collection)

I have a collection of WDW-bought plants, including multiple plumerias, also a now giant orchid that I bought 12+ years ago at World of Orchids in Kissimmee. It was about 1 foot tall when I bought it, and now it is almost 4feet tall! Even crazier, it completely outgrew its pot/any soil years ago. I mean most of the roots are just out in the air, and it is thriving! Right now, 3 stems are blooming! I rarely even water it. We jokingly call it Audrey, and warn people not to get too close, as I suspect it might eat anything that happens to come too near it. Most my other WDW plants are the 'Mickey's Mini Garden' plants sold in jars in the Land. One of my plumerias dates back to before Soarin', when the company Just Plumerias sold them from a cart that was located in the Land building. sadly though, it has never bloomed.

The other little thing I have way too many of are the little plastic blind bag figures.

That is a really cool pin! How does it turn on and off?
