You pay more you get more. Is it so wrong?

That quite possibly was one of the most pleasant posts from you that I’ve ever read.
No hyperbole, just a straight opinion. Thanks!

It's also one that makes me very sad, because its apparent that all the negative trends will continue, With Iger out in 2019 there was at least hope for a leadership team who appreciated the parks as the works of art they were and could be again and bring back the traditional Disney level of service which can now only be experienced in Tokyo but at one time WDW had the same levels of service

Just the more expensive of a hotel you stay at the more the benefits. You stay at one of their "value" and you get basics at the "deluxe" walk on passes for all rides.
I agree with you, in theory. There are some perks, already, such as monorail hotels being most expensive and having the monorail available instead of busing, having close proximity to parks, etc.

I actually think that annual pass holder benefits are quite nice. I think the benefits built in based on price level, such as room size, closer bus stops, available restaurants on site, environment and amenities offered, are good. But, from a pure business perspective, I think it would be a nice idea to have some sort of rewards system for "frequent flyers". I used to receive room rate reductions quite often when I used to go more, but sadly, I no longer go as much as I used to. Life gets in the way.

I don't hate Disney for this ( I actually LOVE WDW), and I don't get the read that you do, either, so I am not sure why some folks here are so eager to attack. It's ok to question things, folks. Your idea is a good one, but in the current business climate of driving stock prices, this probably will not occur.

Surely the Bounce back offers are their way of rewarding "frequent fliers".

Ultimately they don't need to do anything to attract more visitors, repeat visitors or anyone else for that matter. There is no shortage of people wanting to stay at WDW. Most rewards systems are designed to keep customers and divert them from the competition - Disney have no need to do that.

I would have to agree with the OP, that if you are staying at a deluxe resort, you should have more teir 1 ride fast pass choices, and a little better chance to get ADRs. Not saying you should have more than 3 to start but get to chose more tier 1 with them. I know you get nicer lodging, pools, and accommodations going to the Deluxe, few more transportation options, but at the peak times when Disney is charging the most, they are also reducing the park hours and adding on extra cost parties and events. You shouldn't have to max out a Disney card just to go, and when you have to they shouldn't be leaving you with buyer remorse afterword.

I don't agree. That would mean putting a sort of resort limit on guests. I like resorts at all of the levels. I shouldn't be limited to deluxe just to get a few extra perks. Some trips I like the more energetic feel of the value resorts. Some trips I want the more laid back feel of the moderates. And some trips I want to be near a park for easy access.

I would like it more if they would sell the perks as an extra. Want another 3 Fast Passes? Pay another $50 a person. Plus if they do it that way it won't seem like another perk only the really well off can afford.

The shortcomings and choices that Disney makes are being blown out of proportion x1000 though! That's what I'm saying here. They're building more to help combat crowds, is that not an effort fix the major problem people have with the parks? Yes, there are other problems people have with Disney. But, these problems aren't unique to Disney! Problems with customer service, housekeeping, etc. can and will happen at every resort/hotel in the world. Yet everyone on here complains as if the problem is solely Disney's.

If pricing is the problem, don't come. It's as simple as that. Formulate a yearly budget, and if a Disney vacation doesn't fit in there, try another destination.

I've been a little combative on this site thus far (could be boredom) and I apologize for that. But, it's truly disheartening to see so many people who love Disney come on here day in and day out to complain, complain, and complain some more about problems that don't even warrant the discussion in the first place.

The person I responded to said they haven't returned in two years and won't for a while. WHY BURDEN YOURSELF WITH A WDW FORUM? That is a serious question. I'm not trying to change anyone's mind, I want to understand why someone who has such a distaste for WDW still comes on here to discuss WDW! It doesn't make sense.

Now, you can give me more lessons on how to behave on this site, but what I'm really trying to do is to understand why people who complain so much about WDW still come to the site daily. I'm sorry but I just don't understand it. If I complained about something as often as people do on here, I would try to rid my life of it to be a happier person.

So you tell others to use the ignore feature yet you can't just keep scrolling past someone who "complains" all of the time?

I definitely could've ignored all the complainers, fair point. But it's a foum, I can suggest someone block me and respond to certain posts all I want. Just like you can respond to my old posts.

Solid bump, though, Dray. You missed the conversation by a week or so. I'd rather not argue anymore. Solid GIF choice too.

My bad in responding late. Those damn pesky 14 hour work days and these stinking kids and wife keep preventing me from being the first person to respond to people's posts. Believe it or not, our Xmas lights are still on the house as well. Priorities, right?

I yelled at my parents when I saw their Christmas lights on last night.. my mom said “I’m leaving them up until the Feast of the Epiphany” (today).. I said “ok, I better not see them on Sunday.”

You can always go with that excuse ;)

No. That creates a class system where the rich or the wasteful slow down the lines for everyone else. It's essentially what they have at Universal with the Express Pass for the rich.

What do you think attaching extra perks to the deluxe resorts would do? If Disney were to do such a think I'd rather it be kept separate from the resorts.

I rather like the system they have now, but if they were to sell perks such as extra fast passes they should be sold as is, not attached to your resort level.

Well the truth is, they already have a class system. Already have a value, moderate, Deluxe resorts. Up charge for Dessert Fireworks shows, Up charge for special party hours during certain holidays. VIP tours for extra perks. I know they already have the more you pay the more you get.

I do think disney does need to start a point system to reward people who go often. You shouldn’t have to be a DVC member to get perks. Every other big hotel companies do a point system. Disney should as well. Maybe an upgraded room or discounted tickets etc. for people who have points bc they visit often.

Doing a point system would go against the entire point of dvc...so that's gonna be a "no" there...
